Not that hard to understand. All things equal, some percentage of kids want an adventure and not an extension if high school. It works both ways, by the way.

Don't take it so personally.

Totally agree - just do not understand why the entire group of Top Louisiana recruits would not get together and go all in for

seems a trio of them did go in together... from N La.

Said it before, the N La kids don't feel a camaraderie with the S La kids. Toshirio's comments were a red flag. An exaggeration, but a red flag nonetheless. Couple that with the REC in place in Monroe (Saban absolutely loves the area, so did Lou Holtz) and you got issues.

News flash. North la is NOT the same as south la.

North of the lake could just as we'll be Alabama, Arkansas or Mississippi for that matter.

Not saying it did. What I am saying is if you talk to those kids up there (Toshirio being one of them) they don't have the same shared experiences as the S La kids (camps, 7x7's, etc). Some of them feel like "odd men out" at LSU. That's not a good thing in recruiting.

The positive side is it's fixable. Every year it continues and every 5* that leaves makes it harder to fix quickly though.

No shite? I never thought of that. Guess what, if you want N La 5*'s, get the REC out or better yet, supplant them and quit treating them like they are from MS or AL.

Thanks. We had no idea.

Here's the idea. Mobile is not the same as the rest of Alabama either. LSU used to recruit well there but Saban has it on lockdown just like he had North Louisiana on lockdown.

We need someone in North Louisiana to reestablish connection and LSU needs to get alumni groups working better up there.

The Monroe area totally dropped the ball getting their star players to be Tigers. What are y'all good for???

So NLa kids leave because random message board posters say trivial things about NLa?

I think Toshiro was just looking for a way out...Brandon Harris doesn't seem to be having any problems building relationships.

Yep, the staff has dropped the ball in NLa.

We'd be better off with Peveto and Mallory up there.

Again, Saban has locked down Mobile. Why is that? Mobile is culturally very different from the rest of the state and is separated by quite a distance. It is a 2.5 hour drive to the next large city of Montgomery, 4 hours to Birmingham, and almost 5 hours to Tuscaloosa.

Yet, Saban is dominating Mobile.

We need to put more resources in North Louisiana and stop thinking that 5 star players will just come to us because it is in state. Get everyone working together again.

Miles can do it, but he needs to reenergize the fan base across the state and get people working together. We need butts in the seats on game day and everyone working to recruit these kids through camps, contact, etc.

I still trust Miles and he is still doing a good job, but we need to get over 2011 and get back in the game with renewed energy.

Sucks that LSU lost crob. Sucks if they lose jones. But there is no contract that requires these kids to stay in state.

LSU is a dominant program. Period. LSU is not failing. Nothing drastic Needs to be done to "fix" any "problem". These kids liked the other dominant program a bit better.

Youre a damn idiot...majority of people up here have been supporting him..it's you people on here that's bashing the kid...1 lsu coach has been here this season.. 1...not counting les....he takes his mom for official visit and she gets left alone...dont blame the people up here for his decision jackass...also do you blame yourself on the lost recruits from south la because you sure lose a lot of them

I'm still waiting to hear how LSU treats north Louisiana players differently than south Louisiana players.
