The meet is at LSU in 2022 and in Utah in 2023.

Although, not an LSU athlete, but one we have talked about here before. Helen Hu from Missouri is training front aerial to front aerial to scale to full turn on beam. I think we can all appreciate the beauty in this... just WOW

We all talk about how our beam routines need some restructuring. I don't necessarily want to see something this risky, but maybe it will inspire our choreography too.

That was beautiful. Thanks for sharing. I'll take anything right now that doesn't involve politics.

Freshmen are on campus right now. Why is this considering school is not in for a few weeks? And is the most talented freshman class LSU has ever had?

Hmmm maybe best JO class we’ ever had? Hard to beat the class of ‘19 with a former junior Elite level national champion, Olympic alternate, and Mary lou’s daughter.

I would say this has to be the healthiest incoming class we’ve seen in a long time. This is mainly thanks to Livvy and Elena stepping down from elite back to JO. Every freshman in last year’s class was beat up. This year’s senior class came in a little beat up (Durante (knee), Campbell (lower leg), Desiderio (beat up from elite)). Edney, Ruby, and Kirby were relatively healthy. Sarah and Lexie came in beat up in their class.

As long as the incoming freshmen stay healthy, I see this being an amazing class. Bryant and Dunne are highly competitive. Kind of like McKenna Kelley. She hated to lose. Bryant and Dunne hate to lose. Kiya Johnson does too. With those three leading the charge the next three years, I don’t see why LSU can’t get over the hump and win a national title.

So I'm a forever optimist, so sometimes I need people to hit me over the head with more realistic expectations, but how confident is everyone that we have a gymnastics season next year?

Reports are that SEC football is close to announcing a 10 game in conference only schedule. At the worst, if that happens, then maybe the other SEC sports will follow suit with the same policy. So we only compete against the SEC in 2021... Or do you think it would be something different?

Bailey Ferrer announces she will not be competing for Auburn or any school. She will finish her degree at LSU. She says her health and mental well-being are as good as ever so I’m not sure why the sudden decision to quit totally but I’m sure she made the best decision for herself.

Now I get to sit and wait for whom ever to come and tell me I’m not allowed to post anything about Bailey, even stuff she posts on social media.

I came here when I saw Bailey’s Instagram. I’m really shocked. She seemed to be very excited about doing gymnastics again.

I would be curious, if anyone does have any information; I was happy she seemed to have found a way to continue doing gymnastics!

My guess is the conferences will see how the Football season plays out with COVID then make their decision. Has anything been announced for other fall sports such as Volleyball?

Praying a vaccine is closer than not.

I’m curious on the Bailey stuff as well. I wonder if Auburn just didn’t work out and LSU didn’t have the scholly to take her back. Seems odd that she’s just quit altogether.

I looked at a couple of gymnastics fb pages, and there is the expected speculation as to why she is quitting. A few brought up the possibility that LSU rescinded their release to let her transfer in-conference. (not sure if that’s the correct terminology) Anyway, I have a hard time believing anyone at LSU played a part in whatever happened. I would think and hope the coaches wanted what was best for Bailey.

Apparently her mom posted and said something “unethical” happened.

I personally hate when people make vague posts like Bailey’s. Of course people are going to speculate and then dig until they find what happened. Might as well come out and say

I’ve heard rumor from people with usually reliable sources that LSU decided not to release her to Auburn. It’s not the best look, especially because she seemed to be under the impression there wouldn’t be a problem. However, this is what happens when you want to transfer in conference sometimes. We also have to remember that Bailey made a commitment to LSU and has been going to school for free, at least for the year the competed, not sure about last year. So I really see both sides.

I do want to emphasize that this rumor was much more of a rumor than other info I’ve gotten from them. Even they weren’t sure if it was true or not so it very well could be the total opposite and Auburn rescinded their offer. Personally, I think LSU not releasing her seems more likely and from a coaching/competitive perspective makes the most sense.

This isn’t true. LSU can’t block her from transferring, even if they wanted to do so. Which they don’t.

Not sure what happened but Someone on twitter posted this from baileys mum regarding this issue

LINK

which is what she allegedly wrote on a Facebook that ‘one person made an unethically one sided decision and changed baileys journey and our lives’ so who knows could be scholarship was pulled at last minute.

Very sad for her as it appears not to be her decision. I know nothing about transfers etc but could she walk on at LSU this season if she wanted ?

Also someone on twitter has also said this which would make sense if she didn’t want to disclose the reasons. Basically saying that the auburn medical staff would not clear her to compete.
