Tori Tatum Beam

Tori Tatum vault

Tori Tatum Bars

Tori Tatum Floor

I have never seen a mistake like that on bars from Tori. If she didn't do that, the AA title was all hers. That one mistake cost her like .300 of a point

I don't think they posted anything on Elena Arenas. They usually only post the top routines/ AA's

Let me know what yalls thoughts are. Like I said with Kiya and her bars routine. Its horribly designed and she actually trains a release move. Why they don't have it in her routine makes no sense to me.

Kai was great. That 2nd pass on floor IMO will not be used in college. Her bars was perfection, although she had a minor form break with the leg separation on the bail to handstand. Beam was very good as well. I tell you what, if she keeps developing she will knock either Dean or Durante out the beam lineup (most likely Dean).

Then we got Haleigh Bryant in the wings the following year with Dunne. Elena will be big for us on vault and bars, will need to develop on beam and floor, consistency wise.

Kiya is next level powerful. She's going to step right in and post big scores. I feel better about losing Sarah now.
Kai looks very promising as well and Bryant looks technically sound already. I like what the future holds without a doubt.

Kiya's stag leap out of her 2nd (I think) pass, was so crazy high. She is so powerful, I think she could be a game changer in the vein of Thomas/McMurtry for Florida. Commenters on the balance beam situation are already calling overscoring on Kai's bars. Perhaps they are just jealous :-)

I honestly never care if a competition scores are on the high end or low end. As long as they rank the routines correctly. That is what matters.

It’s pretty telling when people on the gymternet and the balance beam situation are trying to degrade LSU’s recruits accomplishments already. LSU arguably has the #1 incoming recruiting class (with Michigan and Utah) and people don’t like it...

Who are the people doing the bashing of our recruits? And do people really have it against LSU more so than other teams? Why? Obviously, I’m not in the know when it comes to the gymnastics world. Maybe that’s a good thing! Ignorance is bliss lol.

I don't think its so much an LSU thing but blue bloods do not usually like when another program turns into a national power and has that success. They start losing big recruits to those programs and it makes it even more difficult for them to compete for titles. Keep in mind only 6 programs have ever won a gymnastics championship at the NCAA level in 37 years. 2 of those programs (OU and Florida) didn't even begin to win championships until like 5 years ago.

LSU's emergence over the last 5 years, along with OU has taken a lot of top kids away from a couple storied programs (Georgia and Alabama)

They just need to clean up those double layouts a bit on floor but wow, we are looking good.

Vault should be a strong event for us next year. Bryant and Kiya both bring automatic 10 SV vaults. Kai looks ready to upgrade. We already will have the 10 SV vaults from Edney, Harrold and Edwards. Potentially 6 10 SV vaults! That is really important. And I might be forgetting someone.

Oh, Tori. Is she coming next year? I have trouble remembering who is coming when.

Unrelated to recruiting...but what's the best gym program in the BR area? Currently have my daughter at AIM in Pville but was wondering if there was a better gym elsewhere.

2021

Haleigh is 2020

I am not too worried about their double layouts, from what I was told the floor was really hard. Kai use to have a DTY on vault but I see her doing a 1 1/2 at LSU. Anyways, we found 7 routines between Kai and Kiya for next year which is exciting. Now the current kids need to try to start upgrading some of those scores (sophomore class)

The vault lineup next year should be:

Harrold
Ferrer
Edwards
Rivers
Johnson
Edney

All 10.0 SVs. But the worrying thing is depth. Not sure who else can put up a competitive vault outside of these 6.

OTOH, floor is positively stacked.

Johnson, Rivers, Edney, Harrold, Desiderio, Edwards, Campbell and Ferrer fighting for 6 spots.

For depth, there's Kirby, Dean, Goodrich, Gunter.

I hope this floor depth is the push Desiderio needs to get in shape. Unless she only wants to compete beam for the rest of her college career she is going to have to step it up because she will not make the floor lineup with those girls.

For someone with more of an inside on the team, what is it that makes desiderio out of shape? Is she not working hard? Crazy to know she was at the elite level and wouldn’t be working hard.

Also is it possible we see her make an appearance in the vault lineup? With a fty or maybe a 1.5?

Does raegan have any vault potential? Just thinking about any depth for next season

They do this every year in their too early preseason rankings. It’s expected. Just wishful thinking.

TB, thanks for linking those routines!

Big news folks

Kamryn Ryan will be an LSU gymnast next year. She waived off her commitment from Alabama. She will be at LSU competing on next years team!

She finished top 5 on vault at JOs. Expected to be a vault and floor specialist. Very very good pick up. She likely helps out on vault immediately next year!

Awkward.....
