15Colby Richardson from McNeese. He will take one of our last available scholarships. We have one left for this cycle.

on 6/3/22 at 10:32 pm to DamatheMy guess, he’s simply a depth piece. Frank knows the kid being he coached him at McNeese, so that’s a plus. Colby is from New Orleans, has the size LSU likes at CB, and we need some more bodies in the room. Has decent playing experience too. These last two scholarships are “use them or lose them”, as they do not carry over to next cycle. It’s a one year rental, on a worst case scenario, depth player. We’ll see; I trust the staff.

Something to be said for familiarity I’m sure. If anyone knows the kid, his strengths, weaknesses and how he fits into what BK is trying to do, it’s Frank. Even if he’s just a depth or ST piece on the field, kid has lots of experience to share with the younger guys to aid in their development.

Because they wanted to use the last 2 scholarships on a TE an OL. We lost Steen to Bama and no TE worthy of a take. Just got unlucky.
