What does this say about our talent evaluation if he can’t even make it out of spring ball?
I’m sure he knew he wasn’t gonna get much if any PT this year, but not even a chance to get developed? Him or us, it’s a bad look.

College sports is really broken if freshmen are transferring now…

Every single day yall are looking for a transfer to come to LSU even with a "loaded for depth" group. Do you think a kid is going to stay buried on a depth chart for you amusement?
The more you go after transfers, the further it pushes down guys. When a kid realizes he's likely dead last in rotation even before all the new freshman come in and guys like Rich Anderson comes, the writing is on the wall.

quote:Or, LSU already has 9 DT, with only one SURELY leaving after this year and there is a legit chance we bring in two 5 star DT in Rich Anderson and Lamar Brown. Not everybody wants to wait 4-5 years to play.
Kid has to compete and get better. Probably had everything given to him.
Kid is making a business decsion after seeing the competition. Jack Bech made the same decision years ago and it paid off big time for him.

quote:Yeah the freshman in high school (or maybe he was in 8th grade at the time", wanted this
The players as a collective wanted this free agency. They got it. It works both ways. LSU can also look just like players.

It makes sense if he figures he is not going to see the field. No fun spending you entire career warming the bench when you could see the field at another school.

I hope he didn't spend his NIL money.

I hope LSU took it back.

Hard to fault the kid. He signed on with a team that had a totally different depth chart. Might have made a different decision knowing all of this. The transfer portal works both ways.

I think this is an example of why the portal is good. Freshman committed to a school and due to coaching changes and other players coming through the portal the circumstances are very different than when he was recruited. Let him find a place that is a better fit before wasting everyone’s time.

We’re talking about a 3 star bruh. Processed.

Open your eyes. NCAA was a joke long before "this." "This" is not the NCAAs choosing.
What is even funnier is how ever more inept the NCAA is exposed to be on a weekly basis.

I guess he signed just because Bo Davis
He was homesick his first couple of weeks on campus and when Bo Davis took the NO job he didn't want to stay. I'm surprised his roommate stuck it out; he was on the fence too. (Mitchell) Dilan is a big momma's boy.

This is not a loss. He’s not an SEC talent
_______
Don't agree. Davis loved his toughness. He was only a freshman that could have worked his way into a starter.

Why'd he leave? Davis? I doubt that.
