He was still an above average SEC starter. Do you think nuss is substantially better ?

Bruh who do you want him to be? Randy Moss? We are very possibly landing Nic Anderson as well who caught 10 TDs in 2023. Those top 3 of Brown, Nic Anderson, and AA plus Chris Hilton is a very solid top 4 WR group. Better than the one this year imo as Brown has way more big play ability than Daniels and Nic Anderson has better hands than Lacy. We can only get who’s in the portal and those two WRs are tops at the position in it.

I like ZThomas as much as the next guy, but these are two different players entirely. Brown has a good three inches on Thomas, to go along with elite speed, and coming into this past season was listed as a Top 10 WR in college football by Phil Steele. He's widely projected as a day 2 player and a full season with Nussmeier will likely only help that projection.

lol

Dane Key- 6’3 200. 45 rec 715 yards 15.1 avg 2 tds

Brown- 6’1 185. 29 rec 361 yards 12.4 avg 3 tds

Funny how the more explosive player avg 3 less yards a catch

Well I’ll be very happy if we do that…but if Oregon is sniffing around him, I don’t love our chances

Now do the other years when his QB didn’t have 1500 passing yards in 12 games.

Key 2023 - 42/636/6
Key 2022 - 37/519/6

Brown 2023 - 43/539/4
Brown 2022 - 50/628/4

You’re not really helping your case

He’s never averaged more than 12 ypc while key has never avg less than 14 ypc

Please inform me as to how that equals more explosive?

Avg yards per catch doesn’t indicate explosiveness directly. Barion Brown longest catch last 3 years:
60 yards
63
70
Key:
42
58
45

16 yard differential average
Barion brown has 5 special teams TDs in 3 season, Dane Key zero. he’s more explosive. Also if you watched tape brown’s avg yards per catch are lower due to jet touch passes and passes out of the backfield with their offensive scheme while key’s average depth per target is almost always beyond the sticks.

I’m by no means an insider but I’m not getting my hopes up for landing Nic Anderson.
He grew up an hour away from A&M, and he happens to be visiting A&M before visiting LSU on Saturday.

He's way better than his stats show. I like this pickup if LSU gets him. If he had a QB worth anything his stats would've been way better.
