thats pretty typical; North and South LA could be different countries and everyone would be fine.

I was at the WM/OPHS game last night and Coach Carr should be run out of town for not running Conner more. He is a one man wrecking machine.

No disrespect to Conner, but he runs way too high. He will get killed in the SEC. Right now he is a big fish in a little pond. But once he gets into the SEC, he will be another fish in a huge ocean.

Dexter Pratt >> Montrell Connor

They are similar backs with Pratt being the better of the two.

There are only 25 spots in each signing class. Just because a kid is a good player from LA does not give him the right to play for LSU in this era.

I will take a better out of stater every single time over an instater if the coaches truly feel the out of state guy is superior.

Why do people keep saying this? The first half Connor was a man out there. WM wasnt wrapping up and was trying to tackle at the shoulders, and Connor just pummeled them. The second half WM made Ouachita go three and out about 4 times out of the 5 or 6 times Ouachita had the ball. On the drives WM made them go three and out, Connor ran the ball at least 2 times every possesion. The WM D was on fire the second half except for the last drive when Treadway and Connor drove 50 yds.

Connor is the real deal but unless he learns to play with a lower pad level he wont make a full season in the SEC.

BTW: Mingo had a good night. Once again he should have had a pick 6 but he dropped it again. That would be his third pick 6 this year (he has dropped three that Im sure he could have taken to the house).

Ladarious Abrams had over 200 yds and was very impressive slashing through the Ouachita D.

Some say that Murphy guy is an OK back, NELA back, there was a few more but I can't remember who. Jamie Spencer went to ND, Don Brown was good but he could not get his grades right.

What you laughing at?

If you have seen the film he had the picks in the open field and noone is gonna run Mingo down.

He cant catch for shite thats why he has three drops that could have been td's. Its still impressive that he has three pass deflections playing from the DE/OLB position.

OK, I saw Montrell at the game. I've seen him inside OPHS in class (skipping in the parking lot), weight room, etc. I've had personal conversations with him prior to the WM game. His personality is strange. I can tell you everyday what he wears, etc. -- But it doesn't seem like he is the type of person who puts a lot of effort into thinking about it. I've seen someone with a Miss St. hat come up to Montrell and Montrell kinda blew it off. I really can't reveal too much. But I'm pretty sure Montrell is open.

Also, great game against WM. I saw Matt Little somewhere after the game-- took it kinda hard but he was ok.

I posted on here a couple of months back what Montrell told Tyler Glynn what he thought of LSU and it was similar to this:

"I dont like LSU, they never offered me at Junior day and even if they would have I wouldnt have taken it. I like Miss. St. and USC. I dont want to be a Tiger."

So Im not sure if he has changed to liking LSU now but I know Glynn told me that he really hates LSU

Were you not the one going on and on about how Conner isn't the best running back in NE LA not too long ago?

I agree with that general principle, but it doesn't always apply anymore... check McFadden
