We got an addition forward for this year if that counts.
No chances at Newman\prep school kid. CMM and tigers have to own their non conference schedule to pull additional high 4 stars for 25.

It’s probably time to update the OP’s list of 2025 targets. A couple updates:
- Dewayne Brown committed to Tennessee on 4/20
- Jamier Jones committed to Providence on 5/12
- Tylis Jordan committed to Ole Miss on 6/21
It sounds like Colt Langdon will not pick LSU tomorrow either so he can be removed if that’s indeed the case.

When will McMahon get his first commit for 25 class and who are we targeting? It seems very quiet on basketball recruiting wonder why though? How many recruits does McMahon take?

Colt has slid down in the rankings over the past year (was a solid top 75, 4 star, now more 3 star top 150 guy) but I still think he would have been a nice addition to the class and seemed to really like LSU at one point.
Between Hamilton leaving (whom was his primary recruiter contact and relationship builder) and the fact he wanted to reclassify to 2024 probably took us out of his decision. Butler had room on the roster and would let him play this year whereas he would be battling a lot of guys for minutes with us this year.
Cenac is the real key for us in 2025. If we can hook him early enough and for sure not lose him, that could be a game changer for a real nice class.

Cenac is going to be tough. He shot up the rankings and now all the top programs are interested.

Yeah, there was a confluence of events that made Langdon goes elsewhere but his potential reclassification was the nail in the coffin.

McMahon has to close on Cenac. It’ll be tough though.

LSU just hosted two top 60 PG’s, Nyk Lewis and King Grace, on officials at the end of June.
It looks like we’ll have at least five spots available for 2025 based off seniors graduating, and I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s some other attrition after this season. It’s too early to tell how the staff will divvy up those spots between the high school ranks and portal additions though.

This thread is over a year old. I think it is time to start a new one. Should be a new thread for each cycle. Thanks!

Jamarion Davis-Fleming recently announced his top four schools: James Madison, LSU, Mississippi State, and Ole Miss. He’s scheduled to make his commitment October 15 this fall. It sounds like Mississippi State’s in the lead there.

2025 should be easy for lsu just focus on getting shelton henderson. for 2026 go get reginald rideau for the point guard with lyris robinson as the shooting guard… all these kids are from houston.. reginald rideau is a louisiana kid who moved to houston years ago.. he will be very special this coming year at humble summer creek..

Fleming is taking his official visit October 11 to October 13th and he is commiting on October 15th. Seems like its a Miss State and LSU battle

Do we know about Marcus spears Jr?
6’7” already. 2027 playing out of Dallas
Wasn’t Marcus Sr’s wife a good volleyball player or something?

Good question… seem kind of complacent from the outside looking in.
I’m sure they are doing work, as jobs are on the line, right?
Also…. Will McMahon’s son be given a spot in the team…2029… and may not be at LSU, just in general.

Saw this tidbit in a recent ESPN article:
quote:
Shelton Henderson
2025 ESPN 100 ranking: 30 | SG | 6-5 | 225 pounds | Bellaire High School (Texas) | Uncommitted
Henderson is one of the more dependable prospects in this class. He's a 6-5 guard with a 6-10 wingspan who is a great driver, but can also move the ball (2.5 assists per game).
His production comes by way of opportunity. He makes defenders pay in transition, finishes his cuts and converts putbacks. Henderson knows his jumper is a work in progress, but college coaches see immense value in his overall game.
After a Louisville visit Aug. 23, Henderson has visits planned to Texas Tech (Sept. 13), Houston (Sept. 20), Texas (Sept. 27), Duke (Oct. 3) and LSU (Oct. 11).

Great post. Was just logging on to imply were due for another recruit soon. Lock down 2.

Hopefully, we get more information on these recent visits. 4-star PF A’mare Bynum and 4-star SF Jasir Rencher will supposedly visit this weekend on officials. Jamarion Davis-Fleming will visit 10/11 on an official with Shelton Henderson as well.

Its good cenac is on the list but Houston has created a very prominent program. I see sf scoring hybrid next.
