The idea of my parents actively pushing me into a life decision is so foreign to me.

This would surprise me very much as Watford seems to be the opposite of many freshmen who don't have a strong family presence to guide them, in particularly a father figure and then don't get drafted and try to find a place in the professional world.
Watford has both parents and an older brother who played at Indiana to help him in the decision making process. If his best projection is lower second round with first round possible next year then he should seriously consider returning for his sophomore year. Hopefully he gets wise advice in whatever he does.

It's true. A close friend of mine who lives in Birmingham has known the Watford family for 30 years. He and Trendon's dad talk regularly. I met Trendon's folks early in the season. They were hoping he was gonna be a first round pick. My friend played D1 college ball too. He told Trendon's dad that Trendon isn't ready for the league. His folks think he is gonna make it no matter where he gets drafted. Too many people who don't know much filling their heads with all kinds of nonsense. My friend is trying to persuade them that he needs another year.

Who has transferred out so far?
Is Bishop the only one so far?

Yes Bishop the only scholarship player so far. Unless you count DeShawn Thomas from mid-season.
Caleb Starks transferred out but was a walk on. He is going to Tarleton State, I wonder if they gave him a scholarship opportunity. Good Division II team, guess who is the head coach there now? Billy Gillispie.
This is a good site to keep track of basketball transfers. Can sort by previous school and new school.

Father is the head coach at LSU-E. I’m sure he figures if he got no minutes last season he won’t get any this year.
I’m interested in how Toles will work out as a walk on.

Tarleton State is D1 as of July 2020. That's why they hired Billy G.

Gillispie should have never left A&M. He might still be there if he hadn't

Hindsight is 20/20. It's not like he left to make a lateral move. He left to become HC of one of the 3-4 best programs in the history of college basketball. One that pours more resources (particularly at that time) into basketball than almost every school in the country.
Now, I think the pressure that came with that job overwhelmed him. In hindsight it would have likely been better for him to stay home in Texas where expectations weren't so crushing. But I understand why he took the job.

Football players playing basketball very very rarely works out. LSU examples:
Todd Kinchen
Michael Clayton
Marcus Spears
Robert Royal
Corey Webster
Chris Carrier
Where would Toles logically fit on this year's team and what could he contribute joining the team in early to mid January . This always seems to tittilate the fans then the player leaves the team in a few weeks.

Thanks I was trying to remember him. Just too hard to make the transition. Track and baseball have more flexibility and we have had several successful dual sports with those combinations with football.

Looking at the videos of Toles , Gaines, and Cook; I think Toles is the best of the 3. However, I agree that it’s too hard to do both and I think he’ll eventually quit basketball.

Wheeler goes to H.S. about 10 minutes from the VCU campus. He is a top 50 player. He is still developing. More suited to PF but can play center. There has been some talk of him possibly reclassifying but i think its just rumours. Ive known his mom for a while and she has never mentioned it. He is a force on both ends of the floor.

We just offered 2 of the best big men in the country today. Both 2021 recruits.
Efton Reid is a 7 foot, 5 star center from Steward School in Richmond VA. Ranked #20 by ESPN. He is being recruited hard by Virginia.
Roosevelt Wheeler (Rose) is a 6-10 power forward/center from John Marshall H.S. in Richmond VA. Ranked #52 by 247. He is being recruited hard by NC State and VCU.

Romello White is transferring from Arizona State as a grad transfer. 10 points and nearly 9 rebounds a game, along with 1.2 blocks. Could be another alternate if we miss on Cisse

LSU was not on the list of schools Romello has heard from

From a Kentucky article earlier today with Rivals main analyst Corey Evans:
I didn't want to link the article because it's Kentucky basketball recruiting.
quote:
Evans also expects Cisse to end up at Louisiana State, if he reclassifies. “I still feel pretty confident that it’s LSU,”
