According to several insiders, Coach Wade got tired of waiting on him to commit. Sounds like he’s told the coaches he was coming but wouldn’t make it official for whatever reason.
Coach Wade got tired of whatever bullshite was going on and told him get in or I’ve got another guy I like just as much to take your spot.
Anselem then proceeds to drop a 3 with 2 of the schools being schools he hasn’t visited. I guess he thought he wasn’t replaceable, but evidently the coaches thought he was lol
Now after Gray commits to LSU, Anselem is “wide open”.
Kid obviously wanted to come to LSU but played games too long and lost his spot.

What’s the staff thinking the timeline is on a Cisse decision?
Posted on 4/18/20 at 5:56 pm to Rosenblatt
I think Wade was just getting tired of the ansalem thing.

American Gangster...Will Wade.
Too bad Frank. Coulda been a part of a future SEC Championship.

My wanting of Anselem doesn't mean i don't think Gray can be a difference maker. I liked Anselem's offense.

Fair enough

I’ll take a big rim protector and rebounder.
We have plenty of scorers.

great film, great athlete.
I'm all aboard snagging one and done's, but I think Gaines, Gray, Cook, Ezewiro, and Wilkinson are going to set us up for a nice 3 year run.
hoping the NBA doesn't frick up recruiting, because I'm a fan of one and done's in the game. Having lots of LSU guys in the NBA is always going to be great for the brand.

NBA can start actively drafting from high school again in 2022 draft.
It will ultimately be better for college basketball IMO, assuming theres a 3 year rule in place

That first draft class will be heavy on high schoolers who all want to blaze the trail. May push a couple of existing college players to stay an extra year.

As long as Cisse wants to break everyone else's hearts except for LSU, including the NCAA's, I'm down to ride.
GANGSTA!

Welp if he chooses here....

Alright so I heard from someone on staff that Williams is pretty much gone and don't count on him coming back. With that being said, if Watford comes back and we add either Anselem or Cisse then Hyatt is out. If Watford leaves then we have an open scholarship.

Anselem isn't an option any more at this point, pretty sure the staff gave him the finger basically by taking Gray and said go find somewhere else, hence his "my recruiting is now WIDE OPEN" post

Ahh just saw that. If we don't add Cisse I don't really know what we do with that open scholarship, I guess Cooper would ultimately stay if Watford stays/Williams leaves/Cisse doesn't commit.

There's just no way Cooper returns IMO, I think there's a door for Hyatt to maybe return but frankly Cooper is just a mid-major at best player who needs to go that route. When you're in your 3rd year of college (2nd year at current place) and basically cant get on the court, it's time to move on. He played in 10 games all season long and for a total of just 60 minutes. Hyatt played in almost every game and played a good bit of minutes off the bench in just his 2nd year of college, first year he could actually even play with a medical redshirt his first year.
I would rather have an open scholarship vs. bringing back Cooper, it would be more useful for potentially a mid-season transfer like a Josh LeBlanc or something like that.

Maybe he posted that because he's coming to LSU and he's tired of the NCAA investigating us

I get all that but there's 2 open spots once Williams declares. One reserved for Watford obviously and 1 open. If you aren't getting Cisse then if you can add someone who will contribute then yeah go ahead and do that. But you shouldn't add someone just to add someone and right now we aren't really recruiting any transfers.
Also, the only way Hyatt is not back is if Williams and Watford come back and we add Cisse. But that's extrememly unlikely.
