Not great. But on the other side, they did not sign a single college senior in the top 10 rounds. Also, they didn't have a huge pool, and their top 2 picks were ranked in the vicinity of their actual pick - so probably not a huge savings available there.
I'd guess it ultimately comes down to if the rumored $2.5 to $3M number is accurate and if he actually holds to it. If so, he'll likely make it to campus.

In the 4 years between 2021-2024, the Mariners took ZERO high school players in rounds 11-20. That’s incredible.
In 2025, they took 1 HS in rounds 11-20. It was round 19, and he went unsigned (actually was Appenzeller who was a top 25 overall prospect).
Santarelli is either a trend-breaking golden goose to the M’s or the epitome of a flyer.

This is going to be a great haul. As Washington showed, the odds are more in our favor that these 16th plus rounders are coming here unless something has to make numbers work. One or 2 being lost to money is not an L for this weekend.

I told you boys. After round 15 this class was coming together. If not these boys would have been done already. We might lose Murphy. This haul is insane. This is why you don’t avoid taking studs.
