Are we still waiting and seeing how the '25 season would paly out?

It's a shame he never came back to address this scenario that I laid out on April 30:
quote:

Genuine question

Pretend LSU and Tennessee remain constructed 100% as is for the remainder of the season. LSU hosts, Tennessee travels for a super. LSU wins a title. Tennessee gets knocked out in their super.

What is your take? Who would be the better team? Who would be the better coach?

Because his answer at the time was:
quote:

Context matters. I'd give you a genuine answer if that happens. Let's see what it looks like.

I have consistently said all season that LSU will be fine, there's too much depth compared to other programs to not have a high floor. The only team I've seen that's better is Tennessee.

Can my opinion change and things look different in June? I've literally said that multiple times

Take Texas for example: What a great coaching job Schloss has done to be where they are. But do I think they're better than LSU? No I don't.

Many datapoint pushers on this board would point to Texas' record and say they're better than LSU. That's not how I evaluate things, I'm much more qualitative because of injuries and the general nature of baseball.

And, yes, I do believe Tony is the better coach. Honestly, I see no real genius in Jay. At least Tony gets his dudes to play with confidence. Both are recruiters above anything, which alone probably makes them both top-level coaches in this sport
I'm still waiting on a "genuine answer."

I don't know that an LSU sporting event/weekend has been more satisfying in the last 5 years when it comes to shutting dumb, anti-LSU fans up. So many Vitello dick suckers were embarrassed that weekend. Not only did Jay beat him, but Jay pushed all the right buttons all weekend, whereas Tony made mistake after mistake.

Sorry, will keep this out of this thread from here on out

LINK

Pretty sure he was permabanned unless he's back under another S/N which is entirely possible. It's pretty bad when theres a pretty consensus thread asking for someone to be banned

its pretty slow on this thread and baseball talk in general.

But man, I feel almost robbed not getting to talk shite to him after the CWS.

What is it that Jay doesn't do? 2 titles in what 3,4 seasons?

Is he planning on returning to BR? Or has that ship sailed?

After Grant Fontenot came back in dont know that any ship will ever be denied , even if round 2 hasn't gone great with Grant. Still i guess TBD since he is back for his final season

Justin Bridgman and Nik McClaughry have been added to the roster page as player dev coaches. We knew they were being brought in, this just makes it officially official.

Also, not sure where Lape stands as far as a return to LSU. I thought he threw well at Chipola, so a move to BPCC is a little weird. It's a little lower level of competition, only because I think the Florida panhandle is one of the best in the country. BPCC plays the North Texas JUCOs which are very good.

I don't think LSU has pulled a kid from BPCC in the last 25 years.
