Jay is so damn calculated. Brings in Milam's 16U teammate, of course as a kicker to the money deal, as incentive to come back.

From what I can tell, he’s not following, and he’s not being followed by, any of the LSU staff. The same can’t be said for other teams. His followers and following list is heavy with Miss St and Georgia coaches and staff.

His rational was Park is a SS at the next level and Milam isn't. Also said Milam doesn't need more tape at SS. He also said Ruckert could play 3B and Pearson to 1B. He indicated to sources in the building.

While that's true, you don't bring Milam back and Kurland into the fold to move both of them around the infield to appease Park. Milam is your SS. Kurland is your 2B. Park is your 3B. No need to over complicate things.

Park is 1 portal commit away from having to play OF. I don't think it will come to that but Kurland and Milam will have 2 of the 2B, SS, and 3B positions. And none of Park, Kurland, or Milam will play 1B.

I have a hunch on Solitaria as the next bubble to pop. No sources. He just fits as a power bat with some positional versatility at 1B and RF.

So I guess with milam coming back means Santi Garcia is back as well?

I know Santi and Milam are buddies, but I don't really use that as a tell. The tell for me with Santi is that we haven't been very active with pitching yet. That tells me we're expecting some arms back outside of the core that we already know of. I'd shite bricks if Sheerin pulled his name.

I have a gut feeling Sheerin is coming back with Milam.

Project wisely mentioned that he might not want to disrupt the catcher rotation by adding a defensive catcher like Mateo Serna from Missouri, but I looked into him a little. That guy has almost a hundred starts in the last two years. Somebody is going to get a good add in Mateo Serna

Imagine Hawthorne trying to explain to the audience which Serna was which.

Just guessing at the numbers right now.

Position players returning:
Yamin
Milam
Serna
Arrambide
Patrick
Braun
Ruckert
Pearson
Watters
Kurland
Park

2026 position players guessing it makes it to campus:
Davis
Weistein
Roberson
Tucker
Loew
Belding
Minnatee
Martinez

That is 19 position players, depending how the draft goes and there could be more portal adds.

Pitching returning:
Evans
Schmidt
Williams
Zion
Paz
Ricken
Plog
Moore
Lachenmayer
Aase
Hood

2026 pitchers guessing on who makes it to campus:
Stringer
Evans
Brady
Beaty
Blomker
Christman
Culpit
Wisener
Morris
Olbit

That is 21 pitchers, depending on the draft and portal.

Obviously I don't know how the draft will play out. I'm curious how many portal players Jay will add?

I think that’s a pretty accurate list of the guys we should get through the draft
