Yea it seems that way. Totally agree Wes Johnson seems to be a POS. Might be a really good coach but man the way he carries himself doesn’t say much for him.

Trey Beard to Florida State.

I maintain that any portal kid from a non-SEC or ACC florida school is going to Florida State until further notice.

ETA: Which I'm okay with because they aren't going to Florida.

I think he's already accepted the job.

Figured this might be the case as he has not followed any new portal target in several days.

That's what has tipped me off to it.

Last year, I reported in this thread (last year's version at least) that Haring got the Nicholls job about 5 days before it was announced. He went on a wild follow spree of JUCO guys, low level portal guys, and uncommitted HS guys.

How do yall think Jordan is handling recruiting for Duke at the moment? I mean he can't just wait 2 weeks with the portal. Jay kinda has to be okay with it. He could just leave and start the Duke job now. Seems like a delicate balance.

Jay was asked about it in the press conference and basically said it has to be treated like a man and being able to compartmentalize things. He said he has no question about his staff and being able to do that. Said the transfer portal is a separate distraction as well but he expects him and his staff to be able to handle those distractions with preparing for CWS.

MLB.com put out their latest mock draft of the top 43 picks which covers the first round including supplemental picks.

37. Jaden Fauske - Rays
40. Quentin Young - Dodgers

Those were 2 LSU recruits that showed up on the list.

Kade Anderson was 2nd overall to the Angels.

Yeah, that can be a conflict, but not near the conflict with a kid who could pitch or play in the CWS, knowing that he’s entering the portal when his team is done, which is likely happening.

He was speaking of the coaches having to recruit the transfer portal while preparing for the CWS. He wasn't saying anything about players who are possibly looking into transfer portal being a distraction.

I think any players who would have been a distraction aren't with the team and are already in the portal. Mic Paul being the exception obviously. By all accounts he is far from a distraction though. All coaches and players speak highly of him and want him with the team.

How was that different from Neal's regular defense?

it wasn't

Yes, I realize that

I’m speaking of the other. And it will happen this week. Closer to home than you might expect, I’m sure

It’s unavoidable in the current environment

I would imagine we have a freshman pitcher with a couple deep pocketed programs in his home state ready of back up the Brinks truck to him.

Are you referring to Evans and one of the two Texas school?

I'm not predicting anything.

I'm just saying that those two programs are probably actively tampering and he would be a prime target for it.

I want to be clear that I'm not saying anything about Evans doing anything.

I'm only accusing the shitbags in Austin and College Station of tampering.

ETA: I have no inside info or evidence. I just think the people that run those programs are garbage.
