Josh Livingston to Texas. Still unclear on why he would have eligibility.

Ranked #60 by 64analytics on the transfer list (Brayden is #149 for us by comparison)

Doesnt make a ton of sense for a senior who hit .284 in a mid-major conf to be ranked that high

Brayden has way better stats across the board and was a junior not senior.

Seems like I’ve read a lot of folks don’t care for that site so I don’t think I’d put too much into their rankings if that’s the case

Its hard to follow some of the rankings, for example Brayden Simpson's stats blow Josh Livingston's out the water:

Livingston (Sr.)
.284/.403/.555
211 AB
10 2B
1 3B
15 HR
28 BB
16 HBP
0/1 SB

Simpson (Jr.)
.389/.477/.774
234 AB
24 2B
0 3B
22 HR
24 BB
18 HBP
14/15 SB

Simpson hitting over 100 points higher, had more than double the amount of doubles, 7 more HR, comparable free passes and WAY more stolen bases than Livingston

Simpson got a .984 rating for "stats" and Livingston a .987...uhhh what?

Livingston got a higher conference multiplier on that side which makes sense (AAC vs. Big South), but neither got any points for HS rating, pro rating and Simpson has a much better wRCE of .999 compared to Livingston's .952

It doesnt track how Livingtson got a better "stats" rating than Simpson and how he's ranked like 80 spots higher as well.

Trey Beard in the portal.

Based on previous years, just because he's at a regional school in Florida, I'd expect him to go to Florida State, but I'd love if we pulled him here.

Not that I know of. I haven't dug in on that with him. I'd just been tracking his performance since about week 3. But Link is basically using every non-ACC or SEC school in Florida as a feeder for Florida State right now. It's a brilliant strategy, combined with them getting top tier JUCO kids from the state each year and still doing well with HS guys.

He's going to get FSU a championship at some point.

Things may be progressing with the two way kid from UNO. I don't know, the tea leaves have gotten harder to read. Part of it is that you can't see twitter likes anymore, part of it is that the staff knows we're watching.

James Ramsay gets the HC gig at Ga Tech. He'd been the RC there for a while. I remember following his progress as a Cardinals minor leaguer. It's absolutely the right hire right now for them.

Their lineup was loaded with sophomores this year. If they can hold on to that core they are gonna be a force

Would like the pickup, ranked #20 on 64Analytics, obviously since he had a lot of 2 way value.

Guys like this will be key if we're going down to 34 active roster spots, good to have a couple position players who can throw an inning here and there for you effectively.

To be fair he did throw 161 total pitches in a 3 day span against LSU.

Has there been any news on when they are going to decide on what the roster limits will be for next year and when they'd have to get down to that number?
