Jaylen Jones, LHP, Ohio State, SR, #525
2024: 17.36 ERA, 7G, 0GS, 4.2 IP, 7H, 9ER, 7BB, 5K, 3.000 WHIP
He medically redshirted this year due to UCL surgery, but his stats the previous years aren't much better with OSU and Michigan. Lots of walks, not many strikeouts.

Having your own opinion is fine I’m wondering why you think that

Appreciate you posters who keep this thread updated. I certainly did not see Kucherak hitting almost as many homers as Bear this season. I know the quality of pitching he's facing is not SEC level, but still impressive nonetheless.

Ryan Kucherak having more homeruns than every LSU player outside of Jared Jones is not something I expected.
Jay should tell him to come back and play 2nd base here for his draft year.

Cal plays at 8am against Miami this morning in what would be their last game if they lose. At that point I think they may make a change at head coach. I'd rather either of their middle infielders than bring back Kucherak.
PJ Moutzouridis is a glove first shortstop who hit well as a freshman but took a little bit of a step back as a sophomore. Jarren Advincula is a potential 1st rounder at 2nd base.

Northwestern park looks like a bandbox. Can’t find any official dimensions on it. But it seats 600 people & is 82yrs old lol

For completeness...
Zach Mizrahi, LHP, Penn State, Grad Transfer, #1714
No stats in college, just summer leagues from what I can see

Baton Rouge local who spent a year at LSUE. Has a lot of relief appearances where he threw up zeroes. Would be a good bullpen piece.

That post was tongue in cheek lol. I am not as plugged into expected portal entrants so I have no clue who we'll be looking at to fill in there.
Just caught me off guard.

D1 Baseball is showing Kaden Echeman as committed to Kentucky. I haven't seen additional verification of that yet though.
He's the pitcher from Northern Kenutcky we're on.

I wonder if Jay would be interested in the USCe SS Henry Kazcmer(SP); he killed us and is a nice left-handed at bat. Of course, this is all moot if he doesn't enter the portal. He could play second for one year and move to short when Milam leaves.

no real value for us with Milam at SS; you have young guys coming in and guys here that can help with 2b. You can use him at 3b if that works.
