I’ll trust the coach that has won everywhere he has been and just won a natty over kids that get cycled every 3-4 years

Quote where I'm wrong.
But to answer your actual question, which you never seem to fricking do when I ask you one, I'm not mad about anything.
Telling you to go frick yourself doesn't mean I'm mad. It just means I think you should go frick yourself.

I’d be curious of how many of these kids were starters. It’s pretty clear that last years players loved Jay. Jay goes out of his way to compliment players every chance he gets in a way I’ve never seen from a head coach in any sport.
I don’t doubt some players are upset, especially after coming off of last years high. Most of these kids were one of the best in their entire state and they get shell shocked at lsu. It had to be tough to sit on the bench and watch us have a tough year. To me, that’s more of a maturity problem than a development problem though. Jay literally sacrifices his whole life for these kids so I’m sure he demands a lot from them. I won’t blame kids for leaving who don’t meat his standards but I’m also very happy that Jay is willing to replace them with guys who will.

frick out of here. “soul searching”? What in the frick are you talking about? If some kids are upset because they don’t have a guaranteed spot on the field next year and want to transfer then so be it. It’s the world of college athletics we live in. For example I’m sure Jay told Kling and Neal both after the season that nothing was guaranteed. They chose the easy route and hit the portal. LSU and Jay Johnson will be just fine without them.

So Brady Neal or Paxton Kling want more money, but are not even locked into starting positions?
Not to mention still hasn't proven he can stay healthy for an entire year.

Kling and Neal were both offered money to stay but chose to leave anyway. If you think transferring and leaving is the easy route, then you are crazy!

Dude no one cares that you MAY know someone on the team. I’m sure they were offered money to stay, but neither improved here. It’s fine if they want to move on, but acting like Jay isn’t a players coach is hilarious.

He also mentioned that you have to take the emotion out of it and do what’s best for LSU, that has to be incredibly difficult.

This one hurts, I liked neals potential. But honestly, it may not workout if he doesnt have enough confidence in himself to win this job

Was it as much as they thought they were worth though?

Both are replaceable.

Last year, Tennessee offered Chase Burns money to stay, even offered him a weekend rotation spot.
They were still not upset about not dealing with him in the locker room anymore.

Exactly. I’m not doubting that this dude actually has a source on the team. We just need to understand the intel he is getting is clearly biased.
The far safer (and supported) bet is that this is coming from a couple players on the team with immature attitudes. I’m
Not sure what magical developmental coaching guys like Kling and Neal will find elsewhere when whatever Jay is doing has clearly worked for numerous guys at Arizona and LSU.

The timing of this one specifically is very strange given exit meetings happened last week, and Jay just mentioned Neal as a guy he was excited to have next year. He seemed confident he would return- plus our portal activity doesn't indicate LSU planned at all for a Neal exit either. Even if he's selling Jones as a catcher you'd think we'd be connected to more guys just in case. Jay might as well have been handing Neal the starting job. All this to say best of luck to Neal but sounds like he's looking for something Jay can't compromise the team for. I don't blame guys for looking out for themselves but Jay is here to run a program and help build a team. Best of luck to Neal and all these other guys who helped LSU win a championship, but if a guy isn't "happy" or feel "taken care of" when Jay has bent over backwards to get them involved then it's probably for the best they look elsewhere anyways.

The timing is a little off, but I'm wondering if this means Arambide has told CJJ something?

this is why this whole thing doesn’t jive with me..I would say the only real four “losses” at least from a perceptive standpoint is Neal Kling Moffett and Johnson…Jay basically gave Kling and Neal EVERY opportunity to start. Neal literally was starting as a true freshman last year. They WANTED Moffett to be that guy and gave him chance after chance after chance and at the end of the day he couldn’t stop walking people. Johnson just isn’t there yet to be a contributor

As Project said...Neal is that one guy he gave way more opportunities that warranted by play, if Neal isn't confident he can start next year over Priester then good luck to him. It's also why Jay can't just sit back and pay Neal or Kling...

This is another thing I don’t understand…the Neal and Cam Johnson portal rumors popped up immediately after the last game vs UNC and were reported by both Moscona and Glen West. Was Neal going around telling people he was going to transfer?

I would think he is spending time at home deciding what his best route is. Most of these kids already went back home.
