Are they going to get a weekend starting pitcher from the portal like the last couple years or just roll with Herring, Shores, and Anderson?

I could be wrong but this doesn’t feel like a transfer. That tweet with the exclamation point feels more like a player on the team coming back or a recruit pulling his name out of the draft. I’m going to take a wild guess and say either Herring or Jones confirmed with Jay that they’re coming back.

Earlier this week he said they had visits lined up for the next few days which would imply a transfer. Second guess would be a highly rated high school recruit. This far out from the draft I think it’s unlikely Herring or Jones have made a definite decision.

Possibly but he sent the first one out right around the time Hernandez went public.

William is a very smart and social kid . I’m sure he wants to go to LSU. It’s a matter of if he makes an emotional decision over business. Especially being a pitcher, you want to get into the league as fast as you can to get to arbitration. He has put himself into the position you dream to be when you play college, a first round pick. I do know he was invited to the draft green room . As much as it makes sense for him to go pro now , it wouldn’t surprise me if he decided to go to college. I bet it’s a tougher decision than some may think for him. The fact that he has to wait 3 years to be draft eligible again doesn’t help. That’s a dumb rule and prevents some kids like him from going to college. You can be drafted at 17//18 yo but then have to wait until you’re 21 if you go to college .

He flew to Miami yesterday after the press conference. That could have been where he was meeting with Hernandez.
If he stayed in South Florida (though a bit of a hike), it's possible he went over to Ft Myers to meet with Zach Root.

Could be him. Jay got an up close look at him for sure. A good change up is such a good pitch. We could use a righty with a great change up.

I immediately started to hope he transfers and we can get him after watching him pitch. He’s definitely got some pitch ability and his frame oozes potential.

Too much reaction on Twitter from people within LSU baseball including the added exclamation point on Jay's tweet. People on the on3 board who have info are saying it is not the Wofford pitcher either from what they heard. One also said you try to keep it quiet when you are stealing from your little brother.
