One more addition to the fall barring any setbacks. Will be a Right handed pitcher that throws 92-93 with good movement. If it all works out, we should know the name soon enough.

any hints? transfer? guy coming off injury? Juco? Freshman?

Ashton Larson led LSU's entire team in OBP during SEC play. He would start on every single team in the country.

Will be classified as, I believe, a sophomore. Out of respect for the player, I can’t say much more but I hope it works out for him. He was a top prospect when healthy.

You might be able to add Dylan Thompson name to that pitcher list.

That would be very interesting. I was not incredibly high on him out of high school. I thought, though, with some weight/growing/development that he could be a star. I don't think he's grown, gained much weight, or developed much. Maybe Yeskie and the pitching lab could make him into a star, or at least a nice piece.

I was just breaking down the roster and who might start. DH is going to be insane.

Frey, Reaves, Josh Pearson, John Pearson, Hernandez, Beck, Yamin, Costello, Trevor Schmidt and Hogg.

I doubt we ever just settle on one guy, but that is 10 guys to share one spot and I like them all.

This thread is almost a year old. I think it is time to start a new one.

Jay will start RHH against LHP and sub accordingly. LHH will start against RHP, and be subbed accordingly. You may see alot of in and out during games until somebody really shines.

I still think some of the RHH will get looks in the OF, no matter their defensive prowess.

Josh Pearson, Brown, Reaves, Beck, Costello, Schmidt, and Larson are all LHH. That leaves you with Stanfield, John Pearson, Frey, Hernandez, and Yamin as RHH options. Hogg hits L and R - I wonder if Jay makes a project out of him as an OF.

We're RHH heavy in the dirt and behind the plate.

I usually start the new one when Jay has the press conference to open the school year. I think WJP is starting the new one this time, so he can start it now and we can switch them out.

Also only could have lettered one year.

Was Simon's injury to the arm? Can we rule him out officially?

Storz’s 1st season was 2018. His clock started then. Granted he RS in 2019 & had a covid year in 20’. I don’t think he has eligibility. He was also designated as a Pitcher, they are saying this is a RH position player.

One of my first thoughts but he wasn't really ever a position player at LSU. He'd also be a 27 year old sophomore on opening day
