Jay can’t keep getting away with this

7 top 100 PG commits get to campus.
10 top 120 commits.
Tip of the cap to Jay & Josh what an unreal class.

Maybe they shouldn’t have hired a coach just to keep a team together for one year.
Jay Johnson is reminding them who their daddy is.
They kept the lineup together and no doubt they’ll be formidable next year. After losing Prager and Aschenbeck (their 2 best pitchers) there will be serious questions with their pitching staff. I can see their ‘25 team being similar to Georgia this past season. On the other hand, we know firsthand that Jason Kelly can turn chickenshite into chicken salad.

They lost Cortez as well, right?

I dont think aschenbeck leaving is guaranteed unless something has changed

Wasn’t he a senior? Does he have any eligibility left?
Posted on 7/17/24 at 6:30 pm to Helmethead
Think he can apply for a waiver for an extra year, but lets hope he just chooses to sign

Aschenbeck is old. I think he signs like Ackenhausen does. But, I guess you never know what he knows about another of eligibility and his future plans anyway.

Cubs drafted him yesterday so I assumed that means he’s gone

I was just looking at Fastlane's thread on the 2024 and 2025 classes. We have 10 guys in the top 42 in 2025.
I love being a LSU fan.

Just stopping by to say Jay is an absolute animal. We all sat here wondering if he could do something about adding aLHP for next season and just causally flips a Top 100 overall kid to come in and he has the makeup to be a future starter looks like.
When you consider you have Cooper Williams and William Schmidt in the same class they could easily be 2/3's of your rotation in 2025 and 2026. I wouldnt sleep on Rizy or Victorian either.

Rizy is 19 and 7 months currently so he is a DES and maybe even a draft eligible freshman lol. I didn’t realize that until Sunday. Don’t see him staying 3 years

Read somewhere that a lot of Williams' family are Aggies. If true, makes it even more impressive that we pulled him away.

He’ll be 20 at next years draft so he’ll be eligible after sophomore year

If he does good enough in the next two years to warrant a good draft spot, I won’t be mad about it

Yeah I was mostly making a joke about how old he is. John Pearson in the same boat
