Where do you put Neal in the lineup when not catching?
It depends on if he's only not catching back to back or if he's not playing the day after catching.
DH, 2B, 3B, and 1B are all options.
I wonder if they're expecting him in the lineup for 45+ games in a 60+ game season?
That would be like 27 games caught, 18 or so somewhere else.
I do think that if Pearson or Tanks gets hurt for an extended period of time, we're more likely to see Neal take their place than Nippolt or a freshman. In-game or one/two game scenarios, probably not. But for an extended run, I think it would be him.

I’m fascinated because Neal’s bat helps balance this lineup

Watching Neal take Hagen smith deep left on left opposite field to tie the game against Arkansas shows his bat has the potential.

Former Alabama commit and one of the highest rated uncommitted 2024 guys left on the board, JD Dix, just committed to Wake Forest.
We were in on him at least to some extent. Long shot to make it to college no matter where he commits.

Ruling tonight may shake things up. Players can transfer again for rest of year and not have to sit.
BREAKING: The NCAA has agreed to terms that have been jointly submitted to the federal court for approval.
* No retaliation against players who play during the temporary restraining order.
* The TRO is converted to a preliminary injunction, to last till the end of spring sports LINK

Tre Morgan holiday clinic for kids 6-12 years old is this week at Lasalle in Metairie.

I think we see a few guys at 2B. Pearson, Neal, and Jay seems to really like Milam despite his poor fall (his K rate was pretty good, though). You also still have Nippolt that can play there, Kling played there a few times in the fall, Kucherak and Roellig played there.
Jay won't completely discount defense, but you'll have to hit to play. With what the pitching staff should do to opposing offenses, Jay will have some leeway in lineup tinkering.

I’m dying for baseball season. I can feel it. I need 4 games a week.

Bumping again.
Not recruiting related, but getting really excited about Gage Jump. He hides the hell out of the ball. He's going to be an absolute nightmare for LHH especially.
Recruiting related, William Schmidt has continued to jump up draft boards. He seems to still be growing. I thought his 6'4 listing was pushing it last year. He's every bit of it now and filling out some. More mature pitcher, too. He could be a hammer on this staff pretty quickly, a staff that will already be stout.

Chicken allowed all the recruiting threads not football related to fall. Glad to see they weren’t deleted.

Matthew Champion is no longer showing as a commit on either PBR or PG. I haven't seen any kind of decommit announcement and he's not committed anywhere else right now. I'm looking for confirmation to take him off the list.

Bump. This thread shouldn't be about to fall off the 4th page. Sticky requested once again

Yeah the other sports need to be re-stickied again.

It's past time. It sucks having to look through a dozen pages to find this thread. I've requested sticky several times with no results (or warnings lol) yet.
