Beloso was the Louisiana Gatorade player of the year and Dugas had similar testing numbers to Mo Hampton who was projected to go in round 1. That’s pretty good

CJJ does have extensive contacts out West, look at his coaching background. So when he's recruiting / signing a kid from out there, safe to assume that kid is top quality.

I've seen photo evidence of Rizy, Fountain, Pearson, and Griffin.
I've seen Kehlenbrink and Caminitti announce their signings as well.
I should have taken off work to drive the 20 minutes and go watch Kehlenbrink sign his LOI.

Wait by signing this LOI, this means they are 100% going to LSU and can't enter/be drafted? I'm unfamiliar with this early signing process with baseball

As Lester said, it has no effect on the their draft status. Even if they were 100% positive they were going to sign with the pro team who drafts them, they are still going to sign with a college. They could get injured or it could just be for leverage. Signing with a big time program and acting like you are all in with said program will help in negotiations. You don’t want the pro clubs to think you are eager to sign and forgo college.

but there are 3-5 prospects in LA almost every year that are among the best and Jay is bringing those guys in. difference is he isnt bringing in the lower tier players anymore.

Are we on any of the other top SS in the 25 class? They still have 2 uncommitted - Sean Gamble and Brady Ebel. I don't think Quentin Young sticks at SS even if he makes it to campus. I know Ruckert is in the class, but I'd like to keep stockpiling middle infielders.
