I'm guessing one of the position players they're referencing for A&M would be one of the Washington guys, but I don't know where they would put him.

He’s also reporting Gators “heavily involved” with Fischer and Doyle. I’m guessing that’s just helping get there NIL deal with Tenn a little higher.

I also don't see that many big time arms left in the portal right now.
Connor Benge was committed to A&M in high school. He was cut loose after the coaching change. That's when we started evaluating him, which would mean Kelly was doing some of the eval.
I wonder if they're back in the mix for him.

That's good to hear. I really do think we were evaluating him while at LSUE and were going to take him after his sophomore year there. He just happened to go to Dallas Baptist right before his sophomore year started.
ETA: Waiting for some sort of announcement before adding him to the list, but clearly it looks like he's committed.
ETAA: Also, remember when Guidry was supposed to be hitting the portal? This commitment likely doesn't happen if he does.

He never mentioned Guidry from what I remember. I think some posters assumed he was tied to Guidry based off of previous comments he made.
-pitchers dont like yeskie
-many pitchers would leave because of yeskie
-Griffin Herring would not be returning
-Current players mad at portal guys getting NIL deals
-players frustrated at lack of development

I'd be a little surprised at that one, yet another righty pitcher and he wasnt great at DBU this past season. 33 free passes in 33 innings with a .268 average against and 5.73 ERA.
Is he tearing up a summer league somewhere?
