Luke Gaffney from Purdue in the portal, we’re on him.

Another C/1B guy.

He caught two games in 2024 as a redshirt freshman.

So, Priester will catch 35 games, the other 35 will be split up between Hernandez, Arrambide, Yamin, Frey, and Gaffney.

I thought he was more of a 1st basemen. So that's what i mean that we may not have room for that

I do think being on all these 1B/C guys, the writing is in the wall that Jones is gone

I don’t think Yamin was coming here to catch. He is a hitter that can play catcher in a pinch.

With Jones likely not coming back you got Yamin and Hernandez that can likely handle a few different positions to pair with guys like Frey, Larson, Pearson and Brown who can handle multiple positions. Figure out who hits and then plug them in.

It's almost as if Jay is trying to corner the market on 1B, Catcher, DH types.

Bad news. Terry Rooney helped recruit him to Purdue. I'm betting he's headed for USCe. One more reason to be pissed at Mainieri.

There is a potential doomsday scenario in which Jones, Priester, Arrambide, and Hernandez are all drafted and sign.

yeah that sucks but we are LSU

I would keep my options open when transfering. Rooney did tell him Purdue was a good choice. not reliable.
