Couple questions:
1) Are there any OF candidates who could move to 2B like Dugas did last year? Our OF is crowded, and we have no proven middle infielders.
2) Players can't enter the portal in the fall, but they can enroll in JUCO, correct?

Bingham played a game at 2B in 2020 under Johnson. I also feel that Neal could prob play 2b too. Pearson has played there I think in some practices. The have a lot of LH outfielders tho

Was anything definitely mentioned regarding Tanner Reeves coming to LSU or did he decide to return to JC? Could be a solid at 2B with a big bat.

Wonder how much we pursued Danny Corona from Wake. He’d walk on campus as our starting 2B.

WF didn't do much hitting while in Omaha but in the game WF won over LSU I think it was Corona that got the base hit or double that drove in the go ahead run. He can hit.

I like Braswell as a backup plan to Guidry at SS. Mostly for his defense but I think with some work with Jay and Chief he can improve at the plate and give you a better OBP than he has had in the past. Could be good defensively and a solid 9 hole option.
I also feel like they have some freshman who can come in and compete to push at both 2B and SS other than just Milam. I think with the numbers we have at the middle infield we should have a couple that can step up and take those positions.

They have a window for baseball in Decemeber after fall practice for player to enter the transfer portal. I think it is the first 15 days in December if I remember correctly. Can go to D1 or JUCO route however you see most kids go JUCO when in that situation because most D1 schools have their rosters situated already from HS recruits and the summer portal window.

Still waiting for the Marshalls teams to wrap up but here is quick update on Mitchell. It was noted in the earlier post that he was possibly adjusting as 14 of his Ks were in the first 10 games and he was heating up over the last 8. Below were his numbers from the 7/9 post followed by where he is now.

Also 9/10 SB
Just as a caveat this is in Utah so the ball likely flies, and some of the games are at BYU and others I can’t tell from the videos so I’m not sure if they’re a legitimate size or not. But you can also see he has a lot of room to fill out and get stronger, the upside is absolutely huge. As mentioned last time most of the HRs and XBH have been from the left side, and from LCF to RCF.
