Didnt say. Could be burns, could be another big name entering
I would hope we wouldn't have a few players entering the portal the day of the CWS Championship celebration...but I already know there are going to be a few players enter the portal because Jay is going to process them to make room for players in the portal.

Will Tanner Reaves not be with the tigers next year? This article from two weeks ago says he will be back at Blinn for 2024.

Reaves is committed to Louisiana State University but will return to Blinn for his sophomore season in 2024 before departing for Baton Rouge, La. That is good news for Hart and the Buccaneers, who will be eager to see what Reaves' encore performance has in store.

yeah we talked about it yesterday. Doesn't make sense he would be going to the Cape and then back to juco.

Portal target Craig Yoho to Arkansas

if he's returning to juco my guess is he is looking to get drafted out of juco

He redshirted at Grayson before going to Blinn, he’s draft eligible after next season even if he comes to LSU.

He was activated to the roster today, so he may play as soon as this evening.

Clemson transfer portaler Billy Amick is visiting TN today. Haven't seen anything linking him to LSU but he's one of the bigger names in the portal.

TN is very active in the portal for a fan base that bitches about others doing the same. So glad LSU kicked their asses not once but twice
Back to the topic, I’d expect we will see a flurry of activity as far as visits go now that LSU has returned from winning the natty

TN and Arkansas are big winners so far from the portal perspective...like their moves alot

Yea getting your arse kicked earlier in the post season has its advantages for sure but I’ll take the trade off

We were in that same position last year, so I'm glad Jay was able to take advantage when he could

We also got a couple guys last year that are better than anyone in the portal so far this year.

Correct, and I think that will be the key to the portal and high school recruiting. Build teams off of your recruits and build championship teams with select few difference makers.

I'm interested to see how Arkansas fares with the draft and their HS class.
They've also been recruiting over HS guys with the portal and with JUCOs for a few years now. I don't think their model is sustainable.

Yea I don’t see the same level of player YET in there. I think you nailed it earlier in saying you think people overestimate how good a player is bc it gets magnified by being in the portal.
Look forward to seeing what LSU does. I wouldn’t expect us to recruit over guys to a great extent as Jay builds depth. I think he will be very selective

Agreed. I don't think it can work. You still have to bring in high school guys that are talented and develop that talent. I think LSU is in good shape with last years class and what seems like a decent amount being able to get to campus in this class. Jay is really good when it comes to development on the offensive side. Get a good pitching coach and pick off 2-5 portal players that will make a difference or help with depth at a certain position each year. I think that is the key to have sustainable success and not be a 1-2 year wonder type.

Snead to Tennessee publicly official now. I think he actually committed to them over the weekend.

It's one of the more impressive high school classes I've ever seen.
