1. Pearson RF
2. Crews CF
3. White 3B
4. Morgan 1B
5. Dugas LF
6. Skenes DH
7. Thompson SS
8. Nippolt 2B
9. Milazzo C

Kling has probably a 90% chance to start in RF by season's end. Guidry probably 75%. Neal 50%. I guess Jobert will DH and PH some vs. RHP when Skenes is resting. I don't see how anybody else other than those 13 gets significant playing time.

Guidry is more likely to start than Kling. Guidry can make it in with defense or offense and has less competition. He also has more tools than Thompson. On paper he has a decent shot to be our SS. Long ways off though.

I also think DH is wide open. I know everyone thinks Skenes is a lock and he might be the most likely but he will have to beat out more than one teammate.

I think Jones and Frey will be in the mix for the DH spot.

Maybe Nic Paul if CJJ wants another LH bat.

Fun to talk about all of these possible line up combinations.

I'm most excited about all of the arms at LSU's disposal now. Unreal.

That's where the real improvement will come IMO.

I’ll be interested to see how much run Shores and Noot get when we have Hurd, Floyd, Skenes and Little already.

Per a Mik'd Up interview, I can tell you Guidry wants a shot at closing bad. Seems to have the mental make up for it.

He has taken things easy (hasn't even picked up a baseball since the national showcase) to let his body heal going into the season. Said he only did BP and fielding drills at the showcase.

He reportedly had a mild back issue that limited him. He said he was 94-95 prior to shutting it down.

I don't have a good feel for Shores or Noot at this point and how much they will factor in.

Morgan hit twice in the 6th hole last year.

With a offensive lineman’s knee brace on. Healthy, he’s a lock for 1-3.

Timing is everything, just think if Ski hadn't blown up when he did he might have been at LSU throwing 102 mph

I was reading up on posts from the first few dozen of pages on this thread to see what we were saying back last year and Misiorowski was topping out at like 95 back then. A year later he was hitting 100 on the gun at draft combine.

Pretty crazy how fast things can change.

lay off that milazzo shite he’s garbage

I agree with this on his offense but not his defense. He blocks almost everything and has a cannon for an arm. Jay has already said he would play a catcher because of his defense He values a good defensive catcher over one that can hit but can’t stop a ball in the dirt. Hell our two catchers last year had problems just catching a ball that was a little out of the strike zone

I disagree, mostly because I think Jay promised Dugas a shot at 2B. Without Dugas in the OF mix, I think Kling has a pretty clear path to start in LF. Also, with Dugas at 2B and white at 3B, that leaves SS for Guidry. He may take over there eventually, but Thompson will be the opening night SS.

I just highly doubt a freshmen who is a 2 way player will overtake a team leader and junior at shortstop. I just dont see it

I agree, especially if he wants to close.

I'm not saying Guidry will start at SS but he could eventually. I do think he will start somewhere because he has more talent than any other infielder we have.

Kling can be our best defensive outfielder and it still won't earn him a start. He will have to hit. He might have Jobert and Morgan in the way.

Pitching is 90% of winning. It's going to be real exciting to see in the fall. Unreal the talent we brought in. Can't wait.

It took Pearson a little while to pencil him in lineup everyday
Fr just have to come in prepared to earn their time
And they may have to wait a little
