List the Catholic League/local prospects/recruits not listed in the OG post again when you get a chance. I'll be around a good bit again. If I recall, several were very young, hadn't even played varsity yet.

Was unaware that some summer assignments were announced prior to the season starting. Interesting.
Somewhat related to this thread, but I'm an umpire in the CenTex area. I had a game behind the dish last Friday with a kid that was 15 months removed from TJ surgery and said to be hitting 92-93 (he was was at 95 pre TJ). Coach told me he had been committed to Texas State since his FR year.
Just thought I would add that so folks wouldn't get discouraged if a commit were to have to undergoe the procedure at a young age.

I’ll pull names from the rankings and my Twitter list of guys we are evaluating tomorrow.
Here are some names, I'll add more over the course of the day. I'm including St Paul's in this even though they aren't Catholic League:
Cooper Winchester - St Paul's 2024
Giancarlo Arencebia - Rummel 2024
Michael Ryan - Rummel 2024 - LSU commit
Brad Chaisson - Curtis 2024
Michael O'Brien - Curtis 2023 - Tulane commit
Steven Spalitte - St Paul's - recently decommitted from A&M
Gavin Nix - Rummel 2025
Reece Roussel - Brother Martin 2025
Cameron Tipton - Curtis 2025
Ryan Darrah - Brother Martin 2025

Two little leaguers from the LA champs made the list
Roussel and Darrah
Wonder how they are progressing?
If you want to include Catholic BR in the Catholic League - they have several prospects that have committed/signed as well. Two with LSU, one with MSU, one with ULL, one with LA Tech, one with Tulane, one going Ivy League, and one uncommitted but is also football prospect.

Battle of the LSU commits tonight in Covington: Catholic at StPauls 530pm.
Let's see if Anderson from SPS can shut down Ruckert and Breaux from CHS.

Anderson was incredible to watch last year.

Project, this is what I was talking about on the rant. Nothing special but I like to update it when I can and try to keep it all in one spot. Also helps me to keep up with draft prospect rankings to have an idea of what me may see get to campus. Some of the draft eligible years may not be accurate though. I get confused sometimes on figuring that out.

I have a similar one that I use to track eligibility, but I don't put draft rankings on there because they change so much.
I track the roster numbers, draft eligibility, and summer league assignments. I've added a sheet to track the date of every commit. That was born out of arguments over which recruiting coordinator recruited which guys. I've got like 160+ guys listed there with some additional information for each guy in case I want to sort things a certain way later.
For draft eligibility, we need to know the last day of the draft for a given year and the player's birthdate.
I have it set up (2021 example):
Date of Draft - 07/13/2021 (cell B7)
Add 45 days - (B7+45) Cell B8 - 8/27/2021
Subtract 21 years - =DATE(YEAR(B8)-21,MONTH(B8),DAY(B8) - 8/27/2000 was the birthday for guys to be draft eligible sophomores. Any college player born on or before that day was eligible.

Looking at my spreadsheet reminded me to ask if JC Vanek is being recruited as a 2 way player or they looking at recruiting him as a pitcher only?
Posted on 2/25/22 at 10:48 am to BayTiger13
I believe pitcher only, but I don't have anything concrete.

Summer assignments I recently found:
Brody Drost - Brewster - Cape Cod
Connor Simon - Danville - Prospect
I've found 11 assignments so far. When I get a few more I recap all of them in one post. I've updated this thread with all of them at some point.

Applebey has had trouble throwing strikes. Misiorowski did a little bit early too, but he’s coming around. Ackenhausen is striking out like 2 guys an inning, but he’s not going deep in games.
