I'll admit I don't follow the JUCO guys quite as much.

I do see they added Robby Snelling to their list. He won't last down there where they have him for very long. He will work his way up draft boards really quick.

Good stuff Baytiger and Project as always. Snelling is definitely an interesting one to watch. I think he was mentioned in an article as someone that could rise quickly. I will remain an optimist that we get him on campus.

I not sure how accurate these rankings are but I didn't like seeing Neal move up. We need some big arms for sure and I we should get some, but a catcher like him is even harder to find.

I didn't see this posted already...Sorry

video of commit MJ Seo from the Dallas area I came across on youtube today. He goes to a friend's house and it has an indoor facility and a turf in the backyard. geez

I am hoping try to catch him and Griffin Herring at Southlake Carrol play this year.

I think he will rise quickly because he doesn't have as much showcase recognition a lot of other players have being he is a big football player also. It is hard to be optimistic about a lefty throwing mid 90s getting to campus but if it happen I will be super pumped.

I'm hoping we can land 2 of the 3 catchers in this class. That would be huge. I really like Ethan Frey and what he can bring to the Tigers in the future.

We also have one of Seo's teammates committed. And in the general area (I think) is David Hogg II.

Seo was committed to Arizona and Herring was already committed here, but I think we're also emphasizing that North TX area with Fitzgerald on staff.

Here are Nate Ackenhausen's career stats in JUCO thus far. Last night he went 6 innings with 14 strike outs to reach 100 career JUCO strikeouts in 49.1 innings.

Career Stats

He was also teammates with Brayden Jobert in the Appy League last summer. I'm excited about this kid. He didn't start for EOSC as a freshman (only 2 starts, rest of appearances out of the pen), because their rotation had 3 D1 commits (one went to the draft, one is at Mississippi St, one is at Oklahoma).

Very impressive. We shall welcome him with open arms.

I assume he could be a draft risk at the pace he is playing though.

Seo has a younger brother class of 25 committed to Vandy.

there is a lot of Talent in the DFW and TX area, hoping since Fitzgerald is from DBU he taps into more of it.

David Hogg II goes to private HS here..Oakridge HS in Arlington about 40 minutes from where Seo plays

Do him and Seoplay club ball together?

I'm not sure on that.

Derrick Mitchell is Seo's HS teammate that's committed to us. I blanked on his name earlier.

Seo (committed to LSU) can he hit and what IF position does he project?

He seems like he could probably handle any of 2B,SS, or 3B. Arm will definitely be strong enough. Guess the only issue would be range maybe. Maybe more of a 2B or 3B.

This is just a guess. I have never seen him play. Opinion is based on size and watching videos.

The draft eligibility date will be standardized going forward. I don’t have the info in front of me now, but I’ll update Monday. This year it just affects Ty Floyd. He’s eligible for this years draft.

I also watched the MJ Seo video earlier this week after it popped up as a recommended video. He's an impressive young man and seems to have a high ceiling whatever position he lands at.

This video of game highlights for his travel ball team looped after the above referenced video.

MJ Seo game highlights

I'm umping a game this week with a 2022 A$M commit, 2022 Baylor pitcher commit, and 2023 UT commit between both teams. Should be some good HS baseball on display.

San Francisco fired their head coach and I think a lot of their guys are hitting the portal. We are looking at some of them including a really high level infielder and a pitcher I don’t know anything about. Hopefully Reyzelman is in their ear. Luke Keaschall is the infielder.

And I think they fired him Sunday morning which is strange. They played Arizona State later that day.

Project

I'm not up on the portal rules can we bring in players who can still play for this year? I'm referring to any place but specifically to the San Francisco situation.

They might be able to come in and practice but I don’t think they can play
