yeah that's kind of what I figured. So if you really focus on the MIF defense getting shored up, then I'm ok with trading defense for offense on the corner and at the moment, there's nobody on our roster that jumps out as a sure fire stud at 3B so makes sense.

I think you put Thompson at second and slide Pineda in at short and you dont care what Tanks does at 3rd outside of turning into Roger Dorn

Pineda at short could cover up Tanks enough to make it work defensively. Plug Tommy on the line and let Pineda handle the whole left side of the infield. Tommy has ample arm strength.

Sort of recruiting related, but I came across a 2022 1st round mock that had Berry and Susac projected first rounders.
For shits and giggles I did some brief research of players Jay's coached that were drafted within the top 5 rounds.
San Diego - 1 (Bryant)
Arizona - 14 (Counting Berry & Susac)
LSU - 3 (At Least) - (Doughty, Crews, & Morgan)
I'm certain I'm missing some guys drafted within the first 5 rounds but even at 18, that's impressive as hell. Certainly that's part of the recruiting pitch to these transfer guys, as well as fringe high schoolers.
Does anyone know how that stacks up against other coaches we'd be competing against for players?

How is this pitcher from St Pauls

Someone on 247 said Tommy Tanks is visiting this week. Not sure if he's the one already on campus Naptime alluded to, but to make his top 3 and not even visit here is the best JJ can do right now with him

If you mean Kade Anderson, I don't think he pitched alot last year due to injury. But, he was an absolute animal as a sophomore. 8-2 with a .63 era and 3 saves. 66 innings pitched, 119 strikeouts, 22 walks, 27 hits. Stud on Team USA. Low 90s, 3 pitches. Wiry, arms and elbows lefty.

We really need 2021 Dugas back. If Jay promises Dugas a shot at an INF spot and white a chance to play 3B then things get tight.

Promising them both a shot to play IF is certainly what he's doing. Not promising a spot. I know everyone thinks Jay promised Berry a spot outside of DH, but I think he really only promised him a shot in the field and not a spot. If we had a better combo without Berry in the field, I think Jay would've pulled the trigger as the season progressed. We just didn't have a better combo, all things considered. Berry would've been okay with DH if that was best. Jay was a bit handcuffed with personnel, given the make up of the roster then injuries. I trust Jay to build, understanding that defense matters, injuries happen, etc.
ETA: Not blaming Paul/Nolan and not blaming Jay at all. You had a staff leaving that didn't get to fill holes and a staff coming in that didn't know the personnel well enough yet. Each would've had challenges with the injuries anyway.

With FSU hiring link, tommy tanks is probably a Nole now
Posted on 6/24/22 at 8:12 am to beardkp
Yes that’s very likely. Great hire and a perfect fit for the Noles.

Good timing for Link as well. Notre dame was going to be down next year after losing all those seniors

Glad for FSU and hope they can start keeping Florida in check.

I may have to make a trip to Biloxi for those two games with FSU next year.

Jay started following him yesterday. Even more evidence to your point though is that Little just started following Jay. His other most recent follow is Dylan Crews.

LOL AYS tweeted that the visitor yesterday was Tommy White. Did he get that from here? Haha
