Jacob was taller at the same age. Josh is thicker. They both can fly. Josh never got hurt so his arm is better. Josh has more pop imo while Jacob could spray to all parts of the field better. John, the baby, is the biggest of the 3. He made a big difference the few games he played fullback for WM’s football team in the playoffs. He didn’t play in the semifinal loss.

ETA: Josh skipped a year in HS and had another taken away by Covid. So he only had a freshman and senior year basically.

What about guys like Taylor and Pearson? They have 10 grades on PG, but I never see them talked about as draft risks. Will they be Tigers?

Don't be fooled by PG grades or their rankings. Their "scouting" department consists of bloggers that pump out content to generate clicks. Baseball America and PBR rankings are more respected by baseball experts.

Does anyone have insight on Luke Leto as a pitcher? Curious if he has a chance to be a 2 way guy.

I’m really confused on Leto. He was a #1 prospect for a while and isn’t even on mlb.com top 200 list now. He’s recorded some 6.5 60 times and has a ton of raw power at 200 lbs. it’s bizarre how he’s fallen

I really hope he makes it to campus. A ton of power in that bat.

He's been classified as SS for some time but he'll never play there in college. I could see him at LF/DH...maybe 3B.

Just looking into the MLB Draft League this morning since their season starts today. Former LSU Pitcher Shane Youman from New Iberia is the pitching coach for the State College Spikes.

How is Holts power? What former player would you compare him to

Gavin Dugas is now scheduled to play in the Florida Collegiate Summer League, with Brennan Holt and Josh Pearson. It's an indication that he's coming back, or at least open to coming back.

Power is not his game. Gap to gap line drive hitter. He has hit homeruns (A few, not many) but he's up there to get on base and create pressure on the defense. I see him as a 2B/CF at LSU.....not saying he cant play SS.

Simon or the JUCO kid should be able to play with one eye closed and still take 2b next year.

Jobert??? Nah.

But Simon definetly should have a leg up.
Unless Doughty goes back there with someone else at 3rd

Dugas needs to go back to 2nd. Will help him for his future, and us to get more bats in lineup.
