Just adding a new post to the end of the thread for anyone checking for summer updates. I think I got everyone that has any stats recorded to this point this summer. For a few guys, they even include this morning's games.

Another JUCO has suspended athletics for next year. Angelina College in Lufkin, TX. We were recruiting a pitcher from there (and may still be). But add them to the list of Sinclair in Ohio, Broward College in Florida, and the 8 or so Arizona JUCOs that won't have baseball next year and that's a lot guys looking for new homes.
Again, I don't think these will be the last casualties. Baseball at every college level is going be very competitive next year and going forward. There are a lot of roster spots being lost overall.

What’s your take on the new scholarship rules passed today?
Per Kendall Rodgers.

BREAKING: The @NCAA Division I Council has PASSED legislation, effective August 1, that would allow teams to give need-based/merit aid without it counting against a program’s scholarship total. This is big news for college baseball.

I haven't been able to dig into it too much. But I think it could help us with stacking TOPS and baseball money for in state guys.
This seems to help schools like Vandy and Michigan who are already leveraging need based aid.
ETA: Apparently Miami and Tulane were specifically cited as schools that will benefit.

Have we not already been able to do that?
ETA: or does this mean we’ll be able to do something like that with out of state kids? I’m just kind of confused as to how this is different than what we already have.

I don’t know to what extent we are using need based aid. That’s more of a university decision that a baseball program can benefit from. It’s why Michigan, though public, can do the same thing Vandy does.
We may have already been stacking TOPS. I honestly don’t know.

I believe TOPS is merit rather than need based.

Doughty has stayed hot. His hit streak is still intact, but he's also got a 4 game extra-base-hit streak going. His OPS just keeps climbing.
Dugas is also heating up pretty well. He had 2 doubles yesterday. He had a home run the day before that but it's not showing up on his stats page because the game isn't reflecting as finished. He's still striking out a little more than we would like, but he's more than making up for it with his power.

We just picked up a 2023 commit named Ashton Larson. I haven’t looked him up yet, I will add him to the least tomorrow.

The SFCBL All Star game will have an LSU flair to it. The starting infield for the North Division will have Beloso at 1st, Doughty at 2nd, and Arnold at SS. The game is on the 26th. Gavin Dugas is listed as a reserve.

Thanks, I added him to the list after the thread about him was started. I asked the OP of that thread to post it here, but I guess he didn't see that.
