Carter Stewart sent out a tweet today saying he’s still unknown what he will do. I think if he was really committed to going to school he would have said it and he’ll end up in JUCO so he can become draft eligible for 2019.
So far I’m doing a spreadsheet of the top classes, Vanderbilt by far has the deepest class, LSU is not far behind them.
Mississippi St got a pitcher they didn’t expect, Ole Miss got a pitcher they didn’t expect, Georgia got a pitcher they didn’t expect. Vanderbilt, LSU, and A&M got a few.

I think the '19 class will be very good at pitching next year with the players coming in even if we don't get to keep Espino. I hear he's touching 98 mph that's tough to get to campus. I definitely want SS Cade Doughty, C Ray Torres, & C Hayden Travinski. SS/3B Rece Hinds would be great if he wasn't projected in the late 1st rd. Cade & Ski would be awesome for next year with the other pitchers. OF Hampton should make it if not drafted as he'd be playing both football & baseball and would not count (scholarship)against baseball.

Project or Adam: Do you think CPM would look into the Juco ranks like San Jacinto or somewhere for a really good (defensive/hitting) SS to bring in?

I honestly don’t think they’re in need to go out and get anyone unless there is a player that unexpectedly slips through the cracks.
The lineup for the most part is bringing everyone back and they kept more than they thought they would.
You also have to think the roster is a bit bloated right now (which is a good thing, I don’t think they just go out and get a guy unless he really has a chance to start.

I don't think we are looking to add anyone else this offseason.
I have a good feeling we will be monitoring some juco bats for the next class though. One of them we talked about in the previous thread, Brandon Parker. He was the D2 NJCAA player of the year.
We may look at some of the d1 bouncebacks as well.

In your way too early opinion how is next year's class going to stack up. Surely it can't be as good as this one

Next year has a few more top heavy talent guys. They’re going to need to get a few of the position players to stick or they’ll be looking JUCO next summer.

IMO the difference between the #1-2 or 3 class is just one or 2 players. If LSU would have gotten Brice, for example, we would've had the unanimous #1 class. This is a great class with underrated players like Dugas, Beloso, Digiacomo to name 3 and we were not expected to get P Marceaux, Hill or Henry. Can't wait!

I’ll bet on Dugas and Beloso having better careers than half the guys ranked in the top 300. Some guys just fall through the cracks in baseball
Really surprised guys like Lee and Threadgill were somewhat highly ranked. Don’t hear much about either

Next year we need to get C Travinski & SS Doughty to LSU. Again, MLB leaves us the frick alone.

Milazzo might be the most important catcher. He’s suppose to be a really good defender. Travinski can hit so he will have a ton of stock

Yea between Tranvinski, Doughty, Hinds, Hampton that’s some high risk high reward position players.

What's with these badass polish catchers?
I'm to the point that if the catchers name doesn't end in a -ski I don't fricking want em

Dugas returned to the lineup and Beloso homered again last night.

No way LSU can fit in a 19 man class with the large class that just came in
I know it all has a way of working itself out
