Is Cabrera eligible
Posted on 6/3/19 at 12:27 pm to snackpack
No. The only draft eligible sophomores on this team are Garza, Mathis, and Walker.
ETA: I just remembered the Storz is draft eligible as well. I don't expect him to be taken.

Is there any word on Storz or Labas? Will they be participating in summer ball or are they don’t until the fall?

Travinski hit a HR in summer league last night. Toups is doing well in summer league also. Doughty and Torres start summer league this week.
Sanford is playing on the same team as Travinski, right?
ETA: Sorry if it’s listed elsewhere, just picked this up from the last page.

Sanford is on the same team as Travinski. We have 3 incoming guys playing now and another 3 about to start. You just reminded me to update the summer league thread I started a couple weeks ago.

Project did you want to create an official thread on the rant?
Posted on 6/3/19 at 4:18 pm to Adam4848
I won't start the thread, but will participate when I can.

I doubt they will participate in summer ball, but personally think they should if they can. I have no idea what Labas' status is, but Storz is close enough that he should be able to throw a few innings. With the new Texas League team in Baton Rouge, it would make a ton of sense to have guys they only want to get a few innings to go throw for them for a few games.
I bet the owners of the team would love if they got Nick Storz for 2 games.

F the dodgers I hope they lose in the World Series again this year

Adam, do you think any incoming pitching recruits will have an impact? Looks like we will lose Lewis.
Posted on 6/4/19 at 12:01 am to rupert45
Not Adam, but if Phillips makes it here he's an impact guy. And you'd expect Kaminer will be a factor given how badly we need left-handers.
Abendroth is another guy with a lot of upside who might find action in the bullpen. He's got a big hook like Beck does and supposedly he can bring it 93-94 with his fastball.

I really like Abendroth who may be a bit raw his first year but has a ton of room to fill out and become a starter in time. I also love Wilhite who’s another power arm. Kaminer is a good lefty that will be needed. Getting Phillips would be icing on the cake.
LSU stocked the pond in last years draft they can afford to lose a couple arms this year.

OT but with FSU coming this weekend I decided to check on Cabell to see what we missed after releasing him last year. He has over a 50% k rate.... I guess that’s why he was faded with a 40 hit tool

Cairo off the board to the Indians. J Mayo thinks he’s signing at 130th overall in the 4th round. Indians get 2 LSU signees.
Now all we can hope for is that Doughty can get on campus.

Maurice Hampton Jr., Cade Doughty and Hayden Travinski are all making it to campus this fall. Story has it that Christian Cairo was getting his classes set up for the fall today when the Indians called. He then informed CPM he will be turning pro.

Cairo got offered 955K.
Can't blame him for signing.
But Phillips lasting past the 10th round is great.
Kid has a 93-94 MPH fastball and a breaking ball that does not mess around.
