Looks like it's another JUCO catcher names Saul Garza. Howard college in texas. Actually will play this season with former lsu pitcher Cole McKay.
I'll have more information tomorrow.
ETA: Garza was a Cardinals draft pick out of high school in the most recent draft. This season will be his freshman season at Howard. He also had offers from Texas, Texas Tech, and Texas A&M. He's about 6'3" and on Howard's roster is listed as a Catcher/1B.

Davis Meche, a 2020 prospect from Barbe that we were recruiting, committed to Mississippi State today. He's the 6th rated recruit in Louisiana for 2020 according to Perfect Game.

Looks like Mason Templet has resurfaced at LSUE. Their season begins on Friday, along with most southern JUCOs. I may do a long post sort of previewing that later this week.

I posted about this on the MSB, but if anyone wants to see LSU commit Aaron George and San Jac in action in Baton Rouge, they'll be playing two games at BRCC tomorrow. San Jac has a ton of talent.

If Jaden Hill makes it campus it will be as a pitcher only. He did have some football offers, I think Mizzou was the biggest one he got, but as of right now there are no plans for him to play football at LSU.

LSU commits Scherer (2019) and Wilhite (2019) threw against each other’s teams today. Scherer gave up 1 hit and 0 runs through 7. Wilhite gave up 2 hits and 0runs through 4.

I have still not been able to track down who committed the other night, if anyone has any clue, feel free to share. Apparently whoever it is, they're the first kid since twitter was invented to not want to tell the world they committed.

Looks like it's a RHP out of Georgia named Daniel Espino in the 2019 class, from what I can tell on Twitter.

Project what's your opinion on when Smith returns to the lineup? Jake moves to 1st and keeps Hal at SS? On a side note, I'd like to see Webre play more besides just PH, I believe he's going to be a good one. IMO

I've talked about it in the appropriate threads on the Rant, but it really just depends on how everyone is playing when he comes back. And that may not be for another month or more.

Was thinking about it and have we ever lost a big-time instate recruit to a non-JUCO program in recent years? Or so we pretty much pick and choose?
