Someone had the list earlier in this thread but the main ones to watch out for
N Pearson
Enlow
Cabrera
J Pearson
Bechtold
Doolittle
Storz
Nate Pearson will sign with a team if he's taken tonight.
Enlow, Jacob Pearson, and Daniel Cabrera are the high school players to watch out for early on.
Andrew Bechtold is the main JUCO position player to watch out for early on.

I think Doolittle is locked in on LSU. Nate Pearson is gone. I could see any of Enlow, Cabrera, and JPearson getting to campus or none of them getting to campus, they're all wildcards, but I truly think Enlow is leaning LSU.
I keep convincing myself every time I think about it that Bechtold is gone, I just haven't heard anything concrete to support that.
Storz is probably gone, but I'd like to see us sell him on two-way playing time and actually live up to it if we get him on campus.
Still don't know about Keller and Veitmeier. Cam Sanders too, he's real draft risk.

"On a not completely unrelated note: Mason Templet is hitting really well in the Prospect League so far and has played 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and DH so far."
Great to hear. Has to be hard for Templet to be there while his team preps for Omaha!!
Stats on all 3 over there:
Nick Webre- 7 games played. 8-25 .320 2-2bs, 1 HR and 9 RBI. Heard that he hit one off the top of the wall in LCF the other night, missing a grand slam by about a foot
Mason Templet- 9 games played. 10-35 .286 4-2bs 10 RBI.
Mason Doolittle- 5 games played. 4-19 .211 1-2b 1 RBI.

I looked at Storz's twitter, and he seems to have a really genuine interest in going to LSU. Also for all of the talk of Cabrera being gone from random posters, he seems to be pretty excited about going to LSU too.
Going to be interesting, but it's safe to assume LSU is going to be brining in a big time class regardless

I've noticed that too. Same with Doolittle, Webre, Pearson. They're all friends from playing together on various summer and showcase teams. It may be pie in the sky to think this way, but we have a good chance at making it through the draft relative unscathed in our recruiting class.
It's not unheard of. Look at what Ole Miss did last year.

We deserve another dream class after the 2014 haul blew up in our faces

Any chance we keep any of the top five on that list?

Incoming infielder Hal Hughes just hit a home run in his summer collegiate league game. Bit of tough day for his family though as his dad was let go as the head coach at Oklahoma.

Still somewhat associated with Gator Baseball, and based on what I've been told it's VERY unlikely he ever suits up for the Tigers. Not the info I wanted to get over the weekend, but it's not a surprise.

Webre is really REALLY good. I hate that he isn't talked about more. Even more reason to think Pearson to DH next year if he makes it to LSU.

I've said it before, webre might be my favorite in the class. Hes got positional versatility too.

1 (28): @BlueJays select Central Florida RHP Nate Pearson.

We have now reached a point in the draft where bonus slots are lower than they were the year before.
Also, overall pools are smaller than last year. And the bonuses are flatter throughout the 10 rounds, making it harder to find severely underslot guys.
Still dangerous teams out there. And at least one really smart one with a lot of money to spend (Astros).

You should feel bad if the hacking front office of your team causes my team to have enough picks/pool money to steal an LSU signee.
I doubt it happens but I think I would rather let Storz hit and see what he becomes.

I heard something last night that I never realized. MLB network guy said that out of all 10 rounds last year only 2 players did not sign?!! So basically if you hear a guys name called esp early he is gone! It makes sense. The MLB teams are not going to waste a pick unless they are almost certain they can sign you. I don't think you hear Enlow, Cabrerra or J Pearson's name today. Round 3 starts today with a slot of around 755K which I think is way below what those 3 were looking for. What I'm not clear about is how much higher a particular team can go above slot? Is that unlimited or is there a cap??
