Don't know anything about this guy, but if we have scholarships to burn, I would rather use them on a grad transfer senior who will only be here for one year. He can provide some depth, and then be gone and not take up a scholarship the following year.
Hopefully we can get through this year, the Wade saga dies down and we can have a studly 2020 recruiting class.

It looks like Hamilton with classify as a grad transfer. But I agree Cyborg, at this point go get some grad transfers for depth. I don't want to cut into our next class by grabbing guys who will fill spots for multiple years.

What is the deal with a few of the bigger name players that have not yet signed?
RJ Hampton - CG
Precious Achiuwa - SF
Jaden McDaniels - PF
Trendon Watford - PF (I know he commits on the 20th)
Nah'shon Hyland - PG
Tyreek Smith - PF
Antwan January - C
Carter Murphy - SG
Anderson Kopp - SG
Mahamadou Diawara - PF
Daniel Boatwright - SF
Carl Lewis - C
Jourdan Smith - SF
All these guys are 247 top 200 players. I wonder if its a possibility for Wade to land any one of these guys? I know there was talk about Precious already being a silent to Memphis. Also, I know Watford has said he will announce on the 20th. Just looks like there is still a pile of talented high schoolers to sign.

Some look to have academic issues, some have already signed but recently were released due to coaching changes, etc.

Thanks for the update. Where do you find the information on academics? You think LSU could be in on any of these guys that were released from their LOI?

Are we getting back in with Khalid Thomas or big Charles Coleman?

How many schollies does LSU have left and who’s next to commit?

Assuming Emmitt, Skylar, Marlon comeback (they will)
1. Javonte Smart
2. Trendon Watford
3. Skylar Mays
4. Emmitt Williams
5. Marlon Taylor
6. James Bishop
7. Charles Manning
8. Aundre Hyatt
9. Courtese Cooper
10. Darius Days
So we have 3 scholarships left ideally Dante reclassifys we get him and then fill out the last 2 with a Shooter and another big (maybe Khalid Thomas?)

Thanks. Just curious as to who we are after?

Big man wise Khalid Thomas, Rodney Howard And John Ojiako And then Dante if he reclassifys...shooter wise not sure honestly

IMO, Graves will keep Waydes scholly. We will have 2 spots left to fill. We probably try to get Dante to reclassify and then find a redshirt candidate. If Dante doesn’t reclassify we will probably go the grad transfer route.

I cant see Graves keeping his scholly honestly

exactly. It's a feel good story. It was great last year. We really should free it up.

If we have somebody worth the spot I see them freeing it up but not for just a marginal recruit.

This, it was just a 1 year thing, no reason to not find a capable player for that scholly spot when you have the chance.

LSU and Va Tech after some of the same players
quote:
2. John Ojiako Must Be a Top Priority for Virginia Tech.
Regardless of whether Kerry Blackshear returns and whether transfer Keve Aluma pursues a waiver or not, Virginia Tech needs to add a high school big man to this class with John Ojiako being the best option at this point.
While VT has shown interest in former Ole Miss commit Rodney Howard and former Wake Forest commit Charles Coleman, Ojiako remains the most likely and arguably the greatest priority after the Hokies were the first Power 5 team to offer him as he emerged this spring.

If y’all wanna feel really old, we’ve offered Jabari Smiths son. He’s a 2021 kid, lives in Georgia, and will likely be a 5 star.

Wow, I felt old enough when we offered Shaq's son but this really makes me feel old.
