I think his name has been mentioned already but Erick Fowler is another guy to keep an eye on. 6-1, 232 4-star OLB/DE tweener out of Texas. He grew up a fan of LSU football and may be attending a spring practice soon.

Keep an eye on the 40 time.
That's not a great time for his "tweener" status.

I will not keep an eye on 40 time. It's a dumb, overrated speed test that only points out "athletes" and I use the term loosely.

Well, JP, we can't MAKE you keep and eye on it, can we?
Nor can we make the recruit fast enough for pass coverage or beating the RB to the corner...

Who is we?
And do you think speeds don't change after high school or something?
The point is they are basically useless in terms of evaluating a player when all you need is film.

Just noticed this tidbit. Notice it's a sparq verified 40, which I was under the impression were always slow. I think Michael Ford ran a similar time at a sparq event.
I don't know that using a 40 in this instance is the wisest choice

I wouldn't put too much stock into that 40 time, his height measurement was more surprising at the event, thought he was closer to 6-3.
He plays quick off the edge, beat Greg Little in one of the snaps in the OL vs DL drill.

What was the good news? Does it pertain to football recruiting or maybe the basketball commit?
Posted on 4/20/15 at 7:46 pm to redfieldk717
Is he going to be an NSD signing?

Per Jimmy, U-High's D.J. White is a name to keep an eye on as a QB prospect.

I realize AU probably doesn't have a shot at Devin White but saw that he told an AU reporter that he was planning on playing defense in college. Is there a reason for that? Seems like a 6' 250lb RB who runs like that is a Brandon Jacobs/Jeremy Hill clone and projects better than an "undersized" LB at that height

Pretty sure there is a lsu recruit or commitment here at the water park in grapevine, tx. Don't recognize him but he looks like a football player and had lsu socks, shirt, shorts and backpack on
