I wonder if c/o 2017 Southern Lab DE Chris Allen shuts things down this weekend or early next week.

Erick Fowler is a great get, he should be able to contribute right away. Still like Rahssan Thornton too.

Ross Blacklock might be another Texas guy to keep an eye on later in the year. 6-3, 326 DT that's starting to pick up offers. LSU offered at camp recently.

He has some of the best highlights I've seen of the 2016 prospects.

Yep. I think Texas really goes after him with Fowler committing to LSU. Thornton probably becomes a top priority for them.

Any of you guys hearing anything on McCulloch? Any Houston insiders?

So, Thornton tweeted about an announcement ( LINK). Wonder if he jumps aboard too. LSU was his dream offer, and we are starting to fill needs at edge rusher and LB.

Why does his Twitter read this:

"All-State Honorable Mention | 1st Team All-District #STAYHUNGRY | New Orleans, Louisianna"

I thought he was from Texas?

I've read his family is from Louisiana. He had both his parents and grandparents with him at the Bayou Picnic.

The staff is absolutely killing it. I've read both Thornton and Fowler may get looks at ILB.

I think Fowler is an excellent candidate to move inside.

Just in watching his highlights, he is mostly a bull rusher, that has a very good motor. Not a whole lot of moves once he is engaged, but obviously he will have time to learn.

He needs to get much lower if he ever wants to develop into a prolific outside edge rusher. But watching the way he plays, if he were to slide inside I think it would be a better fit. He is pretty good speed, and gets up the field very fast. He has natural instincts you just cant teach, if you watch the second play I believe, that is pretty damn impressive. Seeing how he handles himself I believe he is plenty smart enough to handle calls and responsibilities needed to play inside. Lastly, I think his best "position" maybe a spy role or a delayed blitzer. The way he plays and the way offenses have progressed, having a spy on a mobile QB in a spread offense is almost a necessity.

Just my two cents worth, great pickup none the less

Maybe Fowler. Peveto told Thornton that they want him at OLB.

I've read Thornton may get some opportunities to play inside. It's not like he'll end up there though.

Yea I see Thornton purely as a Joker, and Fowler may be able to move to Will after a couple seasons with Moffitt.

Everyone hopes Beck comes back to solidify the group and be the Mike because he is our only option now that CG3 left. Honestly we have to have some guys step up. Jones, Louis, and Feist really need to bring it. I also think Neal would be a good candidate to move inside.

Luckily a guy like Thornton will get to watch Voorhies and Alexander play. With the 3-4 it allows Key, Washington, and Teuhema to move outside as well.

Future is in good hands.
