You know how I know you don’t know what you’re talking about

We have some of the best recruiters in the country (CEO, rb coach T Robinson, Joseph, Austin Thomas is a rockstar, etc.) we’ll finish strong and in the top ten. Ban bet

Bama is low because of quantity. LSU is low because of quality. That’s two different things. Bama will close with a great class;LSU will not - in the opinion of the recruiting services.

We won’t know how good these classes actually are for another year or two.

You mean like Marvin Wilson last year? :( dude could of been huge for us this season.

Think we will have a better prospective after the early signing day.
I think some kids truly have no clue where they want to "take their talents to" or "spend the next three years at".
Got a feeling some kids may hold out to the last minute hoping a bag man shows up at their doorstep. Shame, but that's how I perceive it.

Coach O in Meat Market talked about the best time to get commits was in the summer before the season and immediately after the season towards signing day. He said he got that from Pete Carroll who wanted a good buzz around the program going into the season and then again going into signing day.

Alabama is late every year, arse clown. They can afford to be because they're Alabama, but don't worry when the season is over they'll be in their proper position at No. 1.

We win finish strong . You don't know shite and are negative. Look at closing bumps when Onwas at SC. The big catches always came in late.

6 of our 3 start guys should be 4. They are underrating many of them

Doesn't that typically happen to players that commit early? I don't think the evaluators follow them as closely after that.

Orgeron is no longer a "closer" for Peter Carroll. Or even Les Miles. He is now a closer for himself and that is very different.
He didn't close well last year, but Austin Thomas saved him with the two Tennessee stars. we lost Etienne, Wilson, Mathis late...

You win some and you lose some. Looks like you're only focusing on the losses.

Orgeron closed on K'Lavon Chaisson, Jacob Phillips, Tyler Taylor, Todd Harris, and Lowell Narcisse late in last year's class.

I don't think Thomas had much to do with Stevens. He was more tied to Raymond and was a lock once Raymond got his extension. Also, Stevens was committed long before Orgeron took over, so I don't really see how he fits into the conversation about whether or not Orgeron can close.

It's true Thomas had a big hand in landing Phillips, but I don't understand how Orgeron doesn't get credit for "closing" him. By that logic, should Meatball get the blame for not closing on Wilson? Recruiting wins and losses all ultimately fall on the head coach. So why cherry pick which ones you decide put on the head coach?

Losing on Etienne was more a product of staff strategy (slow play) than Orgeron's closing ability. It's also been widely reported that he really wanted to go out of state, so it's possible that there was nothing LSU could have done to keep him here once Clemson offered.

Losing Wilson hurt, but Orgeron "closing" on Feheko certainly softens that blow.

I don't think we were ever seriously in the running for Mathis.

Anyway, the proof will be in the pudding. I'm excited to see how the staff closes out this class. I'm optimistic, but only time will tell.

Marvin Williams either redshirted or played hardly at all. Shelvin will be better, and combined with Faihiko we will be ok at Jose.

Never did a name fit a poster so well. It's as simple as this, if LSU closes out the season strong, we will close out recruiting strong. LSU tends to fall out of contention around this time but watch toward the end.

It's also good to wait for the playoffs to finish to get more film on new up and comers who perform well when the big games are played. You can spot lots of diamonds in the rough that way. I'm sure most of the kids are known but it's a good way to weed out the fake from the real and then zero in on your targets. Fill your board with good secondary players in case you miss some.

LSU can go into enemy territory this year and flip lots of guys who may not be happy. We'll be fine, our staff will work tirelessly at the end to make sure we close strong. I'm sure they are in steady contact but you want to strike the iron when it's hot and I think that's what this staff is very good at.

They have 11 commits. Average rating of recruits is top 10 though.
