Krysten is a family friend, but did not know she ended up in Funroe after she graduated. Have to find out if she knows GG and thinks he is as big a DB as we all do.

8 plus doesn't happen anymore man. ECA doesn't do it either. I'm a public school coach and we stopped that argument years ago.

He's already making him fat, and the kid didn't even get on campus yet.

I heard they are doing it with the 4th grade now.

Those filthy dudes.

And BTW, it was not the state that stepped in last time. It was Barrack Hussein Obama. He loves him some Rebels.

people act like West Monroe is the only school in Louisiana that has kids that held back. I was held back in 3rd grade and graduated from WM at the age of 18. What is the big deal?

Would be interesting to see what percent of high schools have hold backs.....no doubt WMHS would be very high on the list

Yes, it is still there and it probably looks just like you remember in the 70s with only a couple of exceptions: some tacked on vestibules were added to the doors to provide a little separation between the diner and the parking lot. Also, the new owner has put more stuff (flair) on the walls. Ray only had a couple of old framed duck hunting prints that hung on those walls for decades.

Still a great po-boy along with fries and gravy. I usually visit the place each time I return to Monroe to see family. I love Atlanta and there are loads of great restaurants here but I have yet to find a place that adequately serves two great Louisiana staples: po-boys and catfish.

Definitely nothing like Ray's in Dallas either.
I used to get my mom to go there because I knew she could only eat half her sandwich. I always got mine and half of hers!

Do they still have that great ice cream that you couldn't eat too fast because of the headache it would give you?
