UT Zach LaSuzzo, St. Frederick, Sr. — hit .403 with 15 singles, six doubles, one triple and three homeruns while also putting up a 3.88 ERA as one of the Warriors’ main pitchers.

Is he going to be more of a pitcher or hitter? 3.88 ERA is a little high for high school.

he really didnt have a good year pitching because he was afraid to hurt his arm but in the allstar game he pitched 3 innings and struck out 6 and nobody hit it out of the infield

Correct me if I am wrong, but why would we sign a guy that was not even offered by ULM or any other in-state school for that matter? Especially not being to far removed from shoulder surgery.

Gibbs didn't come in off of an injury, he didn't play his senior year because he switched schools and was ruled ineligible.

It's the very late part of the recruiting process, where everyone is scrambling to fills holes that they may not have thought would be there. Just about all of the quality players are already signed. This kid will more than likely be a non-aid guy, the roster limits drop to only 27 people on aid next season, so we'll have to have 8 guys (7 with Chad Jones) as walk-on/non-aid players. I think this guy is one of those players.

The kid had shoulder surgery a couple of years ago and has been a little timid about throwing as hard as he can so as not to reinjure shoulder. Was 86-87 as a freshman. Once season was over this year didn't have many options. Went to a tryout at LSU-E and was 88-92 and has pitched there consistently all summer(He plays for the Louisiana All-Stars in Baton Rouge during the summer). That has led to offers from ULM(full ride), Tech, UNO(full ride) Northwestern, Hinds CC, and LSU-E. Great kid. Has a ton of potential. Will work very hard. Always dreamed of playing for LSU. Gotta love getting kids like that on the team.
