Whatever happened to teams taking kids just to deny them to our opposition? If we have the schollie slots, load them up.

Melvin Hill was actually a Full Back for LSU. He played QB at Mansfield HS and his younger brother was Greg Hill from Logansport played DB for a short time before getting in trouble. Greg was a true athlete.

Yes, he and Greg were mid to late 90’s. They have an older brother Chris Hill that was a TE in the early 90's.

Pretty sure he was a QB his first 2-3 seasons … Herb Tyler’s backup. Moved to fullback his senior year.

Yeah, that was Melvin Hill at quarterback for the Kentucky "purple pants" game. That's the only reason I remember him.

This is stupid. If you sign a player and he doesn’t graduate from that university it counts negatively towards some kind of metric that schools are judged by. The lower that grade the worse it is. Also with the portal now if a player is not getting playing time he is going to leave. When he does that the school takes a hit on that metric. I disagree with how they calculate all that but it is what it is

Since you pussies are new to recruiting I'll explain it to you.
When you're an extra hat on the table for so many kids that's a glowing reservation at how LSU is viewed among the recruits. They're seen as an elite university so when you have hats like Georgia, Bama, LSU on there but have no intention to commit to them, it's showing your prestige level. They should be proud they're recruited by the high end. That does not mean LSU is getting left at the altar. There's other factors to this like if LSU is even pursuing hard. LSU might not be as high on him as Texas is so they're just not pressing. Does this apply to all recruits? No, some we're just being out recruited on.
Maybe LSU wants to evaluate him further his senior year. Like I said in other thread, shut up and wait until December and stop bleeding from your vagina.
