Historically, Louisiana produces low numbers of SEC quality LBs, Offensive Lineman and Quarterbacks as opposed to Wide Receivers, DBs and Running Backs, which the state produces in abundance. Even Saban had trouble recruiting LBs at LSU.

Matthew Langlois needs to move to linebacker. He has nice size and enough speed to compete for playing time their instead of the safety position. He just needs to work on tackling better.

I think you can rest assured this staff will address linebacker like every other position. I’m completely confident in their recruiting strategy and targets. BK knows what the hell he is doing.

Who is Dez Perret I don’t see anything on 247 or a quick google search. Is he a possible reclass from 2024

Ok, I'll end it now. Much appreciation to the people who got the joke. It was a play on words, referencing the gnashing of teeth on this board over the loss of a linebacker to the portal and the anxiety exhibited on this board because of a preceived dirth of talent in the portal at this moment in time: all in response to the question asked by the OP.
Phonetically:
Dez Perret = Desparate
Tampa Ring = Tampering
Deuce Mentz = inducements
Desparate (Dez Perret) from tampering (Tampa Ring HS) and inducements (Deuce Mentz) for the Portal.
Additionally, "Projection" would be the incorrect word if this was indeed a true prediction.

Chalky, did not realize this was a reply to my post until I read through the thread again.
According to 247 Jayvant Brown signed with Kentucky in the early signing period. Other than that I have no knowledge of his recruitment.

No one here knows the staff's plan on addressing any needs at the position and/or who they may decide to target if that is the direction taken. We can speculate, but that is it. So I responded to this question with a joke/play on words as I described above in my admission post.
