Notre Dame fans warned us that he would recruit, "Good not, great". I am okay with it if this year is an outlier and he continues to kill the transfer portal.

He said he didn't want to have to use the transfer portal so much but he is going to have to.

I love BK and the coordinators are up and down for me. I just think we need to get some coaches who can recruit and figure out NIL. Kelly couldn't win a championship at ND with inferior talent, I don't think he can do it here either.

That’s all it is. There is still a fraction of the “fan base” that is pissed the shrimp boat captain was fired and are doing everything they can to disparage this staff. Doesn’t matter that this staff took a disaster of a roster and turned it around and won the west in one year after the last knuckle dragging “corch” had us in last place the year before.

Move on people. You aren’t a 45 year old fish dog ho bag skank so Ed O doesn’t give a damn about you. Why waste your time still caring about him?

He’s basing it on him being a complete dumbass. People need to understand how hard it is to win at ND with the academic requirements. I’m not saying BK has been perfect here, but he has a detailed plan for how he wants to structure the roster and use NIL. Let’s at least see what signing day looks like before we all go running for the hills.

I know this is crazy but, recruiting and talent acquisition matters. Our biggest weakness this year is the secondary and it wasn’t addressed with that inflated recruiting class. It’s the sole reason why we’re #12 and not still in the top 5.

Now we have no DT or significant Dline recruiting and have lost several battles to Texas schools. These things matter and will absolutely determine how good we are in the next few years. And news flash, recruiting isn’t great

Kelly walked into a complete cluster. Had a WR playing QB. I’ve been following LSU and Recruiting a lot longer than most, I’ve never seen a coach arrive an have a depleted roster as to what Kelly started with.

Coaches have to develop relationships with players and families, this takes years.

What Kelly and his staff have done, nothing short of unreal. I have a number of friends within the coaching profession, all have told me the same thing. They were all shocked at Kelly’s first year. I put money down on the fist year, that was too easy, Vegas had the line at 6.5, the over was too easy.

Back to recruiting, Kelly would like players to be 3, 4 and 5 years within a system. He knows that he didn’t have that luxury. The portal is his option. He’s used it well, where would we be without it? To think the staff isn’t doing anything with recruiting? Did anyone attend the last home game? The sideline was full of recruits and family members. I’m trying to remember that many on the sidelines for a game.

I’ll keep saying this, the last three coaches won NC’s at LSU. Two of those guys wouldn’t have won one anywhere else but LSU. I still see Kelly winning NC’s at LSU. I like the odds.
