La sports writer for 30 years had never seen two prolific offenses compete like this.

LA sports writer Robin Fambrough, was at the Zachary vs Destrehan semifinal game, and was amazed, in all of her 30 years of covering La sports, she had never seen two prolific offenses compete in a semifinal game. She noted that this game was one that will be talked about by players, coaches and sports writers for years. Zachary won 67-57 in regulation.

Not certain how many LSU coaches were there, but they’ll remember this.one, it was a classic.

Heck, Evangel in the 90’s with Booty and Berlin and company were explosive.
If she were at the dome watching any of the games that South Plaquemines played in 2007 and 2008 she would have a different opinion.

Should also be noted that Zachary plays West Monroe who has given up 0 points in the playoffs so far.

Yes, 0 points allowed in 4 playoff games.

There are a couple OLBs that look impressive for West Monroe when watching them. Not sure who they are or where they’re going.

frick it. Hire their OCs to the shadow staff.

To me these offenses are proof that LSU would beat the frick out of teams with our athletes in a spread offense.

Zachary beat WM last year in Monroe so it may be payback time. ZHS faced a similar situation 3 yrs ago against John Ehret who had not allowed over 20 pts in a game all season I think. ZHS hung 40+ on them. Michael Divinity and Arkansas MLB played on that JE team.

These La players are obviously use to playing in prolific offenses, LSU coaches need to learn to scheme from these offenses, players are already proving they’re capable of handling it.

This! LSU's offensive staff needs to pay close attention to this game. Show LSU how to beat the Alabama's of this world.

Zachary can score on any team and score fast, W Monroe is looking to revenge last year’s loss by Zachary in Monroe in a semi final game. This one will be in the Superdome at 7:00 Saturday for the title. Well worth the price of a ticket.

You missed the point entirely. Robin Fambrough's article was about her seeing a semifinal playoff game with two prolific offenses, not one. And, she also wrote that she had heard other sports writers talk about seeing games like Zachary-Destrehan, but it was a first for her. Besides, there's no need to go back to the South Plaquemines offenses of the aughts or Evangel of the 90s if you want to find an unbeleivable offense to watch. This year's U-High team has as much firepower as any of them.

Bringing up South Plaquemines and a Cyril Crutchfield-coached team disqualifies you from the discussion.
They were nothing more than a school-yard team with superior athletes dominating inferior opponents.
Crutchfield proved his (lack of) coaching acumen when he couldn't get St. Augustine with Fournette and Trai Turner to the Dome and was the alumni weren't happy.
West Jefferson job? See above.

Too bad she never witnessed Kevin Faulk perform his magic against awesome defenses.
