Chase was committed to Kansas at one point and Les Miles wanted him at LSU as a CB.

Right, because Les Miles is a dumbass. Not sure what that has to do with anything.

quote:

And no one offered Justin Jefferson a scholarship.

Because he had grade issues, again totally irrelevant in this conversation.

but yes im sure you knew they'd be the best WRs in the NFL after their JR year in high school.

No one could or would project that but a dumbass like you, but we’ve all come to expect nothing less from one of the worst posters on this entire forum.

Imagine being oblivious that you are the actual ignorant one lol.

This actually made me lol

This kid really is smooth brained. Good lord son can someone tell you to just shut your mouth weather your commitment is still open right after committing to lsu, or your recruitment is shut down, and now final decision between lsu and bama in a month. Dude you really are not that important. Make a decision or don’t but stop embarrassing yourself like this where your word means nothing.

That is less talented and not anymore guaranteed than the hs kid.
A multi year starting WR is definitely more guaranteed than a true freshman.

Kyren Lacy was expected as a 3rd round pick with the possiblity of a 2nd rounder. He had no problem eating up SEC defenses coming from UL.

Less talented? You do know G5 and under WRs go to the NFL and have good careers right? One a couple years ago won the triple crown at WR in a single NFL season.
quote:

Nic Anderson was our prized portal wr and he was running at the bottom of the 2s and with the 3s all spring.
Anderson is still coming off an injury. I don't personally expect him to start this year based on who is in front of him. Having him as a backup WR is elite depth. Also, quit acting like we didn't a guy who was also considered a prized transfer recruit in Barion Brown. One of the fastest guys in college football with multiple years starting and also an elite return specialist. He's done it in the SEC too.
quote:

Also continue the Hankton trend of not developing the talent he has recruited and not having depth without overpaying in the portal.
You Hankton haters are beyond stupid. Both BTJ and Malik Nabers were TRUE FRESHMAN before he got here. You dumbasses will proudly say Joe Brady developed Burrow in one year out of 5 he had been in college. You will gladly say Joe Sloan developed Jayden Daniels in 2 of 5 years he was in college. However you put your foot down when 2 of the 3 years Nabers and Thomas were in college, they were developed by Hankton. You put your foot down when 2 of Aaron Anderson's 3 years were under Hankton. You put your foot down when 3 of Lacy's 5 years were under Hankton.

The two highest guys Hankton recruited ran away before they even had a chance to play. As a matter of fact, of his first full class, 3 of the 4 WRs already transfered. Only Parker is here and he was on pace to be really good for LSU last year, but got hurt and missed over half the season. His 2024 class consisted of a high potential guy who was raw and a track athlete who is also raw at WR. Kelly is smart and he wants depth. LSU only got two WRs in the 2024 and 2025 class. We needed transfers.

Some of you prove your dumbass status real well when you down talk Hankton.

quote:

Yet the mantra around LSU boards remains "I'll never worry about WR at LSU". Obviously the coaches do indeed worry about wr.
Yeah, duhh. LSU never needs to worry about WRs because we have Louisiana, and LSU coaches know what good receiver talent looks like. The history proves its point through different coaches.

Hate to agree with you, but some in this thread are acting like complete clowns. IMO, Darby is really damn good. LSU is missing out on an elite guy if he leaves. However at the same time, I'm not going to get down on dudes leaving anymore. If he doesn't want to be here, on to the next.

It’s so easy in this NIL era. Like kids are one year rentals that’s it. Even if the kid does sign doesn’t really matter because if he doesn’t play enough, that gets unhappy, he’s gone..

At the end of the day its a business. LSU makes all the money, so it is hard to get mad when a coach or player leverages their situation to get paid, too

Yeah, not mad at anybody anymore honestly, I just like to see the kids that are actually gonna suit up for LSU.

No spring game this year just the transfers I am excited to see what those recruits are like

You probably should not call someone smooth brained with a post like this one.

Our fans are pathetic, crying about a kid living his life. So, what, his commitment is shaky, LSU is still recruiting WRs, hell they had two top WRs on campus. Kenny Darby get your money. FAWK THESE PEOPLE!!

The only problem with that is, it's the parents that are driving the bag chasing. The perfect example, the Underwood kid. This kid was 100% in love with everything LSU, then his parents sold him to that rich white woman husband when she told him to buy her a black boy. These 16, 17, 18 year old kids are not savvy enough to talk contracts with major universities, but their parents are. You want to blame the kids, but they're just following their parents lead and all the parents see is life changing $$$. The same with that DT USC dropped $2 mill. on, you don't think his parents had a lot to say about that? And hell, can you blame them? Their son who haven't played a lick of college or pro ball just signed for $2 mill., this shite is so freaking crazy.
