However, your overall ranking/average stars has consistently correlated with your success on the field. Don't be delusional or have a mid major fan mentality that stars don't matter.
Really?????? Tell that to these guys!
NFL Pro Bowlers that were 3 stars OR LESS.

It’s so weird. I don’t even feel like looking it up but didn’t Les have a top five class in his final recruiting season before he was fired?
Yep. Had the #2 class in the country.
That was the class with Fulton and Savion Smith. 2 of the 3 highest rated players in that class haven't played. One will be starting for your biggest rival in two months. These "elite" players really shoot up a team's ranking. But what does your ranking mean if these kids that are cementing top 5 status don't contribute? Class before that had 3 5* players wash out (Johnson, Teuhema, Valentine-Okeke).
I trust O and his staff's ability to evaluate players over rantards and recruiting sites. The staff needs to sink or swim with their own guys.
IMO what they've done is filled positions of need with guys they believe can play at this level and now they will focus on the big fish to close out the class. I do like the idea of these kids coming in to camp, competing, and earning their spot. One thing I notice about all of them is they aren't lacking in size.

Have a down vote, you ignorant loser.
I will take the evaluations of dave aranda and the other coaches over a loser who types up back-handed insults.

I trust their judgement on talent more than yours.
They bring these kids in to evaluate, and oh yea before I let you go, Aranda has made a living off making 3 stars All-Americans. What a flaming idiot.

Or are you just a fricking dumbass that wants to be negative and not adress that issue. Do you realize most of the guys left on the board are going to be 4 and five stars, or are you just a fricking dumbass that negates that too. You are one miserable frick.
You just described cat and capper all at once.

The bottom half of this class (aside from the kicker and long snapper) will look much different in a few months. Several of these guys are underrated. By how much is yet to be determined. I think at least current commit will be informed that he will not be signed. With several big fish still out there until December or early next year, this class is in great shape.

Welcome to the LSU family, Mr. McCallum.
Another 3-star with an impressive offer list. I'll take it.

quote:I agree. It sets a great precedent. Both under the radar and highly ranked recruits will not only be more likely to come to LSU's camp if they know that's where the staff make their decisions, but they'll more likely arrive ready to make a commitment.

Will LSU keep room for the 19 LA class which was supposed to be loaded?
Ya..5 out of 18 from LA ...with ‘19 being one of the best for in state talent...is a little worrisome....and odd.

I don't know why people are worried or celebrating class rankings at this time of the year when it can dramatically change, for better or for worse. As most peoples classes aren't closed to being filled, players move up and down the rankings etc Georgia will have a top class, but its ranked much lower due to lower number of commits. MSU has a high rated class which could get better or worse depending on how it ends up but its up there because of more commits as of now Everyone needs to settle down Great pick up! I trust Aranda as should everyone else
The Rant is no place for rational thought, brotha
