Well, I wouldn't bring something like that to God, but I feel the same. LSU isn't anyone's fall back school. He made his bed with the enemy. If anything does come of that(which nothing will) then he can sleep in that bitch. Don't care how talented he is. He doesn't deserve the right to wear an LSU jersey IMO.

There would be absolutely no reason for him to stay.

Also, I don't see them getting hit very hard and they are smart enough to time it so they get a full class this year anyways.

ESPN will come up with a story over the next week because USAToday did, so I'd watch for that.

I can understand the feeling, and agree with some of the thought that comes with it.

On the other hand, what separates "us from them" is that we have class.

There is this little book that touches on the subject. First part is filled with fire and brimstone, vengeance, and eye for an eye type stuff.

But it gets better in the second part, more about forgiveness, treating others like you want to be treated, etc.

Even without sanctions if CR called Les today and was contrite and admitted the mistake he'd made or ruse he's fallen for, and said he wants to go to LSU I'd want us to take him.

Fwiw I think that would also play well with future recruits in a couple of ways.

It will be interesting if that happens, but I think they won't get in any real trouble

Did I miss something or is this from the DJ Fluker situation?

Would CamRob have to give his F-250 back, if he didn't go on to Bama? If that cash from an arse't manager to a player got Bama in trouble, Saban would leave to Texas, USC, or the Pros again. Money would be there.

I say *most* stay aboard even if the ship's taking on water. These kids (CR comes to the forefront) are totally brainwashed, having taken the bait hook, line & sinker.

Sure, why should a team on probation when the documented benefits to a Bama player occurred from a Bama alum through a Bama former player find itself in trouble? And the documents only implicate Mark Barron for a measly $5,000. Bama has nothing to worry about! Like Alfred Elephant Neuman says,

for sure, i dont think anything comes of it. just saying that IF it did i think saban would bolt to usc or texas

eta: sanctions likely wouldnt come until after NSD anyway

Well if something does happen Saban won't be able to coach in college again for a few years.

wht happens to these Louisiana recruits who are committing to Bama if Bama gets slammed for NCAA violations?i.e loss of schollies, forfeiture of games, no bowl appearances or even worse the death blow?

I dont see that happening. Is the NCAA even investigating any of this recent stuff?

The bigger picture issue that I see is that if any NCAA infractions look like they will show bad on Saban then he will leave. He is what I believe most high level recruits are going there for. I do not think Saban will sit around and let a dark shadow be cast upon him. He will shed any rewponsibility to underlings and leave if needed. JMHO

Anyway, if the school is hit with sanctions and the coach leaves or is fired then players may be released from their NLI's. I do not know what the circumstances have to be for that to happen.

Bama will never be penalized as long as emmert is there, and LSU will continue to get screwed. The ncaa hasn't interviewed anyone. That s.o.b. has to go or bama will continue to break the rules and pay recruits.

Unfortunately, this is true. Emmert has been a big disappointment in this job.

His main priority appears to be propping up the big time programs like 'Bama & only giving most a slap on the wrist, which will likely be Bama's fate.

Agre nothing will come of this but ill play the hypothetical.

If sanctions were handed down causing bowl bans or anything worse, the kids would be free to leave and mostwith immediate eligibility similar to the PSU and USC cases. All those kids were free to leave if they chose to. Just that most didn't. Bama's roster would be raided or at least attempted. Way to much premeir talent there and way too many blood sucking programs(actuly mean that in a good way) in the direct vicinity to not have a feeding frenzy on their roster. It would be insane to watch unfold. We'd try our hand with a few I'm sure
