I'm still committed to the Recruiting Board, but I am looking around.

Big deal. I wish that we would stop signing 170lb receivers.

And even then it’s still open. Just ask the 5 star QB that signed with Oregon and now in the portal LMAO

Schools need to institute a “no decommit” policy.
If a kid commits, then decommits, all offers get rescinded.
If schools got together and agreed to this, it would put the recruiting services out of business as kids would stop “committing early.”
It would also create issues for all these “handlers” as they wouldn’t have time at the end of the cycle to deal with everyone.
Just my thoughts.

Every single player’s recruitment is still open until they sign and sometimes even still open after that. Idc how “locked in” they say they are

Then open his scholarship offer up to better players and if one comes along, then he is out. Commitments only work when both parties commit.

Enjoy the toilet college football has become.

Eventually football recruiting will be done with binding contracts, the kids will sign a contract stating how much money he will get paid and when, and the playing expectations. The school will be bound by it as well

This. We are headed toward P4 college football becoming a pro sport independent of the NCAA and the schools. That will include a CBA, players union and like you said/ contracts. This sucks, but it’s how stability is fully restored.

I don’t blame anyone for pursuing their full market value. As the saying goes, don’t hate the player, hate the game. Just don’t let a greedy agent overplay your hand.

Still open after that too.

First…Get recruits to commit to LSU……
Then pray the budgeted funds set aside … will be enough to withstand the last minute onslaught of other teams throwing bags of loot at your commitments !!!!

Who cares? This is just the way things work. You can either spend your time getting upset about 95% of all recruitments or just accept that it's the rule, not the exception.
Funny that you never hear anyone complain about this when we're recruiting a kid committed somewhere else lol

These players are going to have to accept that fans don’t give a shite about their “commitments” anymore and coaches probably aren’t going to treat it as very locked in either. God forbid LSU look at other WRs
These players are something else

Wouldn’t worry too much. More often than not a commited Louisiana kid sticks to their commitments. Those kids grow up wanting to be tigers

Yep...this is just the way it is now. Sadly.
But it works both ways. 2026 WR Aaron Gregory (TAMU Commit) was saying today that he's still talking to multiple SEC schools including LSU. Just like this year, we'll lose guys who have been committed for a year or more, but we'll also steal some from others.
I'll always pay attention to recruiting, but it's hard to be too invested now before around November.
